A Florida man has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money online for President Trump's border wall, saying "it's up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling." As of Thursday afternoon, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $6 million, with a goal of $1 billion — a fifth of the $5 billion that President Trump has been demanding, unsuccessfully, from Congress.
Brian Kolfage, who says on the page he is a Purple Heart war veteran who lost three limbs, writes: "If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall." The fundraiser received contributions from more than 100,000 people by Thursday afternoon

Not true. As you make a donation, there is place that is auto filled in to make a donation to GoFundMe. Set it to 0 and they do not get anything. Of course the bank takes it’s customary percentage to use a credit card. Like 2.5% I think.
Thanks for expanding on how GoFundMe works. The opposition is doing all they can to discourage people from donating.
I am not sure the bank will charge the contributor to use their credit card to make the donation. I believe credit card company charges the recipient of the donation, not the donor.

That is great. It is also important to get your friends to contribute. If they only give $5.00, the message will be powerful when millions of people donate.

No, you can set the amount to donate. I did 5% because they do provide the platform. The normal setting is 10%...a little stiff for me. But, 5% was just right.

Well, if the opposition does that, then we need to put up a GoFundMe page to purchase chain saws to cut down the ladders.
