Are you really that cold? Does your employer give you Christmas eve off?
Do you really think much gets accomplished on Christmas eve? Heck, it’s government, not much gets accomplished on any given day, however, I think its a good move.

Because 10 Federal Holidays just arent enough.I think there should be 20.
I think 4-day work weeks should be the norm.
Convince me I'm wrong.
If we're going to give $10.8 billion to Mexico, I want more days off to spend with my family or to just sit around the house scratching my ass.

How about so some federal employees who work long, long hours can spend some time with their children and spouses?
I have worked with federal employees who are frequently in the office by 6 a.m. and will work until 7 or 8p.m. that evening. I have worked with private sector employees to drop into the office at 10, claiming an early morning emergency, spend two or three hours and lunch, and leave early. And then the latter complain they don't get enough time off.
Hmmmmm?

I’d be happier if most of them took off the whole year.

Folks; I RETIRED from federal service.
The amount of work performed on Christmas Eve is just about the same whether you’re at work or elsewhere.
So; same amount of ‘output’ for the same amount of pay.
