Big difference between wanting something done and wanting to be a good steward to the environment. I do my part to recycle and keep nature clean but I want nothing to do with the global warming crowd who seeks higher taxes for personal enrichment.
Then set up a Go Fund Me page and send to the money to climate change organizations. And don’t be surprised when all those supportive Americans refuse to contribute.
” Most Americans want action on climate change. Republicans are the exception: Poll”
Most polls and surveys already know the outcome before they are sent out.
Add a dollar tax to gasoline and see how many Americans still want do “do something”.
Ask them what action they want ...and what they are willing to pay for it.
What a hoot!
So Republicans by “logic” are the minority, because, “most americans” want action!
I have action, I’ll fill up my car and drive some more!
“Overall, 66 percent of Americans now say they’ve seen enough evidence to justify action, up from 51 percent two decades ago.”
This is due to the brainwashing of those Americans who depend on MSM and their fake news.
Sheep mentality, doing what feels good. Now tell them the good part, lame-stream media. Tell them the “solution” is for them to pay tens of thousands in extra fees and new costs to cover the carbon tax. See how enthusiastic they are after that.
If the MSM told the truth about why ordinary French people were rioting in Yellow Vests, Americans would have their eyes opened about the meaning of “doing something.”
Oh, so, does this mean that Republicans are not Americans, by the lefts definition?
“Most Americans” would ban di-hydrogen-monoxide if given the list of damage it causes and how many lives are lost due to its nefarious purpose.
Dumbing Down the schools and universities is working very well.....................
In the last election, not one ballot question favoring action on ‘climate change’ passed.
The action on climate change was fracking. Nat gas is way more climate friendly than coal was. Our emissions are way down as a nation. The only country that can say that.
Until those people screeching about climate change start living like the Amish, I’ll continue to think they are all full of horse manure and just want in everyone’s pockets.
I want action on climate change too!
We have to be ready to pull the trigger to defeat it.
It’ll be 50,000 years to when the earth-sun orbit completely changes its obliquity.
It’ll be 20,000 years to when the earth completely changes its precession.
Since that’s still a bit far off, until the time is closer, I think we can take some self-care time for now.
If true, then most Americans are ignorant and/or stupid.
I think the public does want action. But it’s the result of propaganda and ignorance.
Most of the people I talk to know the climate is changing. I used to not believe it, but the evidence is there, the climate is changing. We can all agree on that. Where it gets murky is in causation, and corrective action.
Most people I talk to aren’t sure climate change is caused by human activity, but they see all that humans do, and can’t believe humans aren’t causing it. They have been led to believe CO2 is the sole culprit. They aren’t sure if human activity is limited it will do any good, but hey, it’s worth a shot, right?
The left is good at propaganda and indoctrination. And we have given them all the tools.
It’s going to suck to live in America in 20 years.
Classic commie stuff. These people are really saying, yes, please do whatever you want with OTHER PEOPLE’s MONEY.
