One day after former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's legal team made the bombshell allegations that the FBI had pushed him not to bring a lawyer to his fateful Jan. 24, 2017 interview with agents at the White House, the federal judge overseeing Flynn's criminal case late Wednesday ordered Special Counsel Robert Mueller to turn over all of its highly secret documents related to the questioning.
U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan -- who overturned the 2008 conviction of former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens after government misconduct came to light -- is weighing how to sentence Flynn, who pleaded guilty to one count of lying to federal authorities in the Russia probe during that interview in the West Wing.
Flynn faced mounting legal bills that forced him to sell his home in the run-up to his guilty plea, and Mueller has recommended he receive no prison time.
Sullivan's extraordinary request puts Mueller under the microscope and sets a Friday afternoon deadline for the special counsel's office to turn over sensitive FBI documents under seal. The judge's review could shed light on why the FBI apparently took a significantly more aggressive tack in handling the Flynn interview than it did during other similar matters, including the agency's sit-downs with Hillary Clinton and ex-Trump adviser George Papadopoulos.
Flynn is set to be sentenced next Tuesday -- but Sullivan's move might delay that date, or lead to other dramatic and unexpected changes in Flynn's legal fate. Sullivan even has the authority to toss Flynn's guilty plea and the charge against him if he concludes that the FBI interfered with Flynn's constitutional right to counsel, although he has given no outward indications that he intends to do so.

Wow, this is starting to get good!
My mood just got a little better. Well, well Herr Mueller . . what say you now?
The crooks advised Flynn not to have a lawyer. They didn’t record the interview. And they didn’t write a written report about it until 7 months later. They wrote the way they “remembered” the interview.
BANANA REPUBLIC. FBI corruption.

And the man who conducted the interview and wrote the report was fired for bias and corruption.
Is there finally a judge awake at the wheel? https://t.co/n7kacP9Mv4— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) December 13, 2018
Team Mueller will tell the judge the requested documents cannot be released because they are "ALSO PART OF ANOTHER ONGOING INVESTIGATION"..
This is SO PREDICTABLE I might not even bother following this news item any further.
Never talk to a cop... now to a FBI agent for sure. They will make things up and repeat questions to check for inconsistencies and get you on lying
Mueller let innocent men rot in prison in Massachusetts to protect his informant “Whitey” Bulger. If you have ever lived in Mass., you have most likely gone by that dump.
Perhaps Herr Müller might confer with a fellow Deep State fascist, his late great (in spirit) Onkel Heinrich.
... torture!
You would think a general deserves some deference.
I commented about this the other day. The only time the FBI will record anything is during something like an undercover sting, like they did during ABSCAM, they have a snitch or their recording one of their entrapment operations. Other than that, it’s the written word of the lead agent.
When they interview folks, it’s two agents, one asking the questions, the other is the note taker. Once the report is written the notes are destroyed. If they even use them. So, there’s absolutely no way to compare the two. What ever is handed in as part of the case file, is it. All the agent has to do, even if everything is completely bogus, is review their report and regurgitate it.
The REAL police require recorded interviews. There might be a few small jurisdictions that don’t, depending on the severity of the crime, but I challenge you to find me one, these days. Hell, folks used to use old school tape recorders and would have to stop the interviews to change out the tapes. Now they have pin hole cameras in clocks or the recording device is there for all the world to see, so there’s no way the defense can say anything. Hell, just watch, The First 48. That tells the tale. No better way to convict someone than when they confess on tape.
And, in the “Normal Law Enforcement” world, those reports are written and submitted that day, the next day, at the latest depending on how long it is.
Starting to seem like this is no different than how the Left rigs elections. They’re losing, then absentee ballots start appearing out of nowhere.
Donald Trump wins, is starting to make things happen, whooooaaaaaaaa!!!!!! The Russians, The Russians. “Hey, remember that time we spoke to Flynn and we didn’t think he lied but now that the wheels are turning we have to slow things down so lets fabricate a crime against him”.
I’d still like to know two things:
What crime was committed that required investigation by the “special counsel”?
Where is the spreadsheet, detailing the $17,000,000.00 of taxpayer money used to protect members of Congress and their staffs, to include who was accused, what they did and how much was paid out?
If the judge throws this out can he also order the government to reimburse Flynn for his legal costs?
This judge has a mixed record, I remain skeptical.
Judge Sullivan takes no prisoners. One of the few judges who seek the truth.
And for not being truthful. Which in the Federal Law enforcement world means that he would be, Giglio’d.
If you’re Giglio’d, as a federal agent, you’re not allowed to work cases as any of your testimony can be considered untruthful. However, nothing you did is cause for termination. And any case you worked before can be scrutinized and potentially tossed.
An example, you tell your supervisor that you’re down the street picking up dry cleaning and you get into an accident on the opposite side of the city, where you were having lunch with your girlfriend. They bring you up on administrative charges. Not enough to get you fired, but you can never work another case. A defense attorney in federal court will tear you apart.
And guess what, you keep your 6-figure job, take home car, cell phone and all you do is order office supplies. There are numerous, numerous agents in federal law enforcement under this.
