Narrative: If you believe an Associated Press report published overnight — and you shouldn’t — rank-and-file Republicans are suddenly so worried about POTUS Donald Trump’s ‘legal troubles’ they fear he may not win reelection in 2020.
Under the headline, “Republicans beginning to worry about Trump re-election,” The Associated Press reported:
U.S. President Donald Trump’s intensifying legal troubles are unnerving some of his fellow Republicans. Despite his brash stance, they believe the turmoil has left him increasingly vulnerable as he gears up for what is sure to be a nasty fight for re-election.
Trump, ever confident of his ability to bend story lines to his will, mocks the investigations into his conduct as candidate and president as a “witch hunt” and insists he will survive the threats.
But a shift began to unfold over the weekend after prosecutors in New York for the first time linked Trump to a federal crime of illegal hush payments...

The only thing I am concerned about the Trump re-election, is that we can’t do it RIGHT NOW, but 2020 is soon enough, thank you.
Listening to this constant chorus of whistling past the graveyard COULD be aggravating, but it is really the sweet music of people I don’t like trying to cover up their fear.

This is all that is needed for the rest of the MSM to recite tonight that “....it is being reported that....” and then speculate (as if factual) that GOP voters everywhere are dumping Trump in droves.

I have an alternative headline: “Democrats Worry Lack of
Leadership Candidate in 2020”.
The AP became CNN credibility level with what it posted about the Georgia elections. Now this.
Never gonna happen. They’re gonna get out their kneepads and do BJs for whatever Democrat they think can beat Trump.
Maybe they are consulting with Jeff Flake or George (Kellyanne) Conway, both of whom may or may not have their own opinions about this president.
I don’t consider this news at all but that is no reason to not worry given this electorate’s idiocy. We can’t depend on the Electoral College saving our asses next time.
IGNORE those crowds of 10 to 20 thousand who show up to see him!
After watching all the cheating in this last election and all the constant negative propaganda, including Fox, we have every reason to be concerned
