Why would God create a magnetic field that would go away killing billions of people and animals?

More fun than a flood?

The excuses for mass murder vary, but they usually come down as man not being sufficiently in awe of God.

Same reason God toasted Sodom and Gomorrah.

You’re assuming there would still be any people and animals around here to be affected by the time the field decayed to that point.

The reason for the great flood....

Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence, through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Sparklite2, it's not that man isn't sufficiently in awe of God. But scripture records that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Not learning what God expects and just doing your own thing, tends to lead to really bad decisions. And eventually God feels the duty to end the injustices.

I’m still trying to figure out why He created mosquitos.

Why would it kill?
Compasses wouldn’t work, but I can’t see why that would kill billions.

His Creation. His Rules. Isaiah 55:8-9

Don't like it? Check out the Book of Job. Your mortal comfort and survival is nothing. Never was.

You sound like you’re transitioning from a state of confusion to outright stupor. Think!

(And careful, you’re at risk of falling for another pea-brained leftist idea.)

Here’s how the agnostic thinking goes: “God didn’t make the world according to the humanist utopian fantasy, so I’m confused and now I don’t know anything.”
