We are former senators. The Senate has long stood in defense of democracy and must again.
"During our service in the Senate, at times we were allies and at other times opponents, but never enemies. We all took an oath swearing allegiance to the Constitution. Whatever united or divided us, we did not veer from our unwavering and shared commitment to placing our country, democracy and national interest above all else."

FORMER Senators?
Jeebus, TRY a LITTLE harder, News Misleadia.
Thank God these aholes are FORMER senators!
None of these people ever believed in democracy or limited decentralized power.
They have time to do this, I mean, in between all their lobbying selling out the country that made them rich???
Hear not heat. I caught 3 other errors and missed that one. I *hate* autocorrect.
What a collection of sellouts, liars, and human waste. The”R’s” among them must never have heard the adage “You’re known by the company you keep!” Their fingerpointing should be confined to the bathroom mirror; any other target should be soundly guffawed.
All of them are worthless.
Not surprised about Campbell. I mentioned Ben “Nighthorse” Campbell once to a rancher in his home town Ignacio, CO. He said yes, he knew Ben Campbell,... before he was an Indian. Seems he only discovered his native heritage as late in life as he did his political aspirations. RINO rancher/farmer who ran in a majority Dem county and won. He won with lots of Dem votes. Go figure.

All of the Dims I understand. But for...
William Cohen (R-Maine)
Al DAmato (R-N.Y.)
John C. Danforth (R-Mo.)
David Durenberger (R-Minn.)
Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.)
Richard Lugar (R-Ind.)
Larry Pressler (R-S.D.)
Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.)
John W. Warner (R-Va.)
I can only quote Alan Simpson at the Bush funeral last week who said...”Those who travel the high road of humility in Washington do not have to deal with a great deal of traffic”.
It is arrogant for these people who once served to think their opinions matter more than the rest of us who don’t have the privilege of suckling from the lobbyist firms.
Alan Simpson. I didn’t catch the whole funeral, but I was disgusted by his attempt to slip politics into his GHW Bush eulogy.
I could give a rat’s behind what these former Senators think.
They didn’t solve the border problem, either, and it has been going on since BEFORE I first moved to So Calif in Feb 1964.
They should hide their heads in shame.
we did not veer from our unwavering and shared commitment to placing our country, democracy and national interest above all else.” ......................... Riiiiiiight! Now tell me, which one of you is the poorest millionaire?
The senate is the weakest link in the whole country.
While that does not apply universally, I think that this "Gang of 44" membership fits into that category and further, once it begins to grow it never stops.
Yeah, and you can all go to hell, too.
The RINOs are all as expected. The one disappointment is D’Amato. Granted, D’Amato’s no Conservative, but I didn’t think he was the type to throw in for a stunt like this.
The senate has become an anomaly that fits that old saying about women. To paraphrase: “We can’t function without the senate, nor can we seem to function with it.”
Did you notice the title? It doesn’t fit in the posting bracket. Be sure to let the mods know how you prefer to see it edited.
So MAGA is cutting into their “consulting gigs” ?-
More power to MAGA!!!
The correct spelling is 'shit'. Glad to help.
