Global warming is causing more snow to fall over Antarctica and it is stunting the surge of rising sea levels.
Scientists have discovered that the increased amount of snow on Antarctica has helped offset rates of twentieth-century global sea-level rise by up to a third.
Since the start of the 20th century the snow on the frozen continent and the Antarctic ice Sheet have played a pivotal role in governing sea level change.
The delicate balance between ice sheets melting and increased snowfall has a major part to play on sea levels around the world.

OMG!!! It’s the natural balancing that the earth does, and the offsets that balancing does are among the alarmists greatly ignored and misunderstood aspects of our climate.

Delicate balance as in an equilibrium? Doubt it, ice has been retracing for over 10K years with one small advancement. These asshats are just trying now to explain why global warming effects on sea levels will not be evident in our lifetimes while they push their hot air tax programs. Let me see, if I send another 20% of my income on taxes to stop my consumption, where does the money end up as it is surely not going to stop natural forces of nature.
So, then, global warming is a GOOD thing because it saves coastal cities from being under water and shorelines moving inland a few miles.
But, won’t all of that snow eventually cause Antarctica to start sinking?

Actually, this is technically correct. Warmer air holds more moisture. -40F air holds less moisture than warmer, -30F air and thus more snow will fall from -30F air.
AGW is a scam but the earth is warming because we are coming out of the LIA. It will cool as we enter the grand solar min.
But the point of the article...that more snow falls because Antarctica is warmer...is correct. That also serves to lock up more freshwater. A warmer earth at the poles produces more snow, that is a scientific fact. Higher temps hold more moisture. Warm is a relative term. The poles are deserts and this is why Minnesota gets more snow than the North Pole...because it's "warmer."

Up here in the frozen North we all know when “it’s too cold to snow.” Then one of the ubiquitous atmospheric rivers is pulled over us by jet stream action (compounded by the various ocean oscillations) and the temp increases just enough for...snow.
Ya can’t win for losing.

So any deviation from the average is cause for alarm. Climate is the gift that keeps on giving.
