Actually, this is technically correct. Warmer air holds more moisture. -40F air holds less moisture than warmer, -30F air and thus more snow will fall from -30F air.

AGW is a scam but the earth is warming because we are coming out of the LIA. It will cool as we enter the grand solar min.

But the point of the article...that more snow falls because Antarctica is warmer...is correct. That also serves to lock up more freshwater. A warmer earth at the poles produces more snow, that is a scientific fact. Higher temps hold more moisture. Warm is a relative term. The poles are deserts and this is why Minnesota gets more snow than the North Pole...because it's "warmer."

Good explanation.

Up here in the frozen North we all know when “it’s too cold to snow.” Then one of the ubiquitous atmospheric rivers is pulled over us by jet stream action (compounded by the various ocean oscillations) and the temp increases just enough for...snow.

Ya can’t win for losing.
