Jennifer Rubin: Trump to Resign 10 Minutes Before Term Is up, Let Pence Pardon Him
Breitbart ^ | 12/10/2018 | Justin Caruso

Posted on 12/10/2018 1:55:51 PM PST by bitt

Washington Post writer and frequent MSNBC commentator Jennifer Rubin predicted Sunday that President Trump would resign from office with 10 minutes left in his presidency and accept a pardon from his successor, Mike Pence.

“I also don’t think that Trump can pardon himself. And if he tries that, and that’s his only mechanism, he risks being prosecuted after he leaves office,” Jennifer Rubin said.

She continued, “For that very reason, I would predict, here on MSNBC, that when Trump leaves office, he will resign the presidency 10 minutes before Mike Pence leaves office, allowing Pence to pardon him, if there is not a Republican president to follow him.”

“Wow…we git that on tape,” Jonathan Capeheart responded, also saying, “And also, when you accept the pardon, you have to accept the level of guilt, so, keep that in mind.”

Rubin, supposedly a “conservative” writer, has gone full left-wing in the age of Trump. The writer made headlines over the summer for endorsing public harassment of Sarah Huckabee Sanders and saying that she deserves a “life sentence” of it...

“The Senate would have to approve Trump’s appoint as vice president.”

The Senate has been dismissed and replaced by the first 100 names in the Topeka phonebook. They vote unanimously to approve Trump’s choice.

Get up to speed, Sue. We’re playing Jennifer make-believe. Jennifer is thrown into the hold of a slow freighter filled with pigs, sailing to Iran.

Let’s accept this nonsense at face value for a moment. Won’t we have a president-elect 10 minutes before Trump leaves office - a little late to affect the outcome of the next election, whether 2020 or 2024. And wouldn’t Pence need to take the oath of office as president before he could pardon Trump? As slowly as things move in DC, it would take far more than 10 minutes to accomplish this.

Typical MSM nonsense.

Both houses have to vote their approval.

President Trump would resign from office with 10 minutes left in his presidency and accept a pardon from his successor, Mike Pence.

There used to be endless such predictions here on FR about Bill Clinton.

Crazy then, crazy now.

Jennifer Rubin has taken mental masturbation to a new level of vicious lying insanity. Aside from her departures from reality she is not a nice person when not insane. The “force” of hate is strong in this one!

First of all, I honestly don't believe that Trump as a candidate or President committed any federal crimes.

Paying to initiate a non-disclosure agreement isn't a federal crime. If it were when Stormy Daniels and her porn star attorney had filed suit to free her from the non-disclosure agreement, she would have won, as a contract cannot be enforced if its purpose if criminal.

However, honesty has nothing to do with anything in politics or WA DC. So this seems like a sound strategy that will give Pence a place in history as a President and will prevent the mad dogs of the Deep State from prosecuting Trump for any federal crimes.
