Top House Democrats on Sunday raised the prospect of impeachment or almost-certain prison time for President Donald Trump if it’s proved that he directed illegal hush-money payments to women, adding to the legal pressure on the president over the Russia investigation and other scandals.
“There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him, that he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, the incoming chairman of the House intelligence committee. “The bigger pardon question may come down the road as the next president has to determine whether to pardon Donald Trump.”
Rep. Jerry Nadler, the incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, described the details in prosecutors’ filings Friday in the case of Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, as evidence that Trump was “at the center of a massive fraud.”

While I don’t see any practical possibility of an impeachment and conviction, were it to happen I would be 100% in favor of armed revolt.
The Democrats openly stated during the campaign that if Trump was elected they would try to impeach him. They are admitting that they believe it should be illegal for elected Republicans to hold office. That’s the “impeachable” crime.
If they are able to do it, they will have established legitimate grounds for armed rebellion.

Dems are making a huge huge mistake if they think the American patriot is going to sit back and act as complacent and neutered as the RINO party. If they go down this road of impeachment and indictment for something so innocuous as paying off a slut, hell is going to be unleashed upon them the likes they have never seen. Try to imagine a couple million armed and ready pissed off patriots descending upon Washington for starters. They are severely underestimating us.
The GOP are complicit, not “complacent and neutered”.
What about Congress using taxpayer money to hush up claims. Let’s disclose all involved.

Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” speech steeled the resolve of the Trump base and pushed the election past the Democrat cheating point.
A failed impeachment on thin grounds (especially something technical that is hard to explain), will ensure Trump’s second term.
Pelosi knows this and that is why she is trying to shut her caucus down on the issue.
Several Presidents have done things while in office which arguably should have sent them to prison, but so far the unspoken rule is that you don't go after former Presidents...even if Ford had to issue a pardon (which probably was the main reason he lost in 1976) in Nixon's case. The Democrats are chomping at the bit to flout that tradition, just as they refused to accept the legitimacy of the outcome of the election in 2000 and 2016...never true in the past (except for the man who was later the first Democrat President, Andrew Jackson, crying foul over his loss in 1824/25).
