It appears Ocasio-Cortez broke federal law by threatening a US citizen with retaliation for snarky tweets.

Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress, except that in any action brought against a judicial officer for an act or omission taken in such officer’s judicial capacity, injunctive relief shall not be granted unless a declaratory decree was violated or declaratory relief was unavailable. For the purposes of this section, any Act of Congress applicable exclusively to the District of Columbia shall be considered to be a statute of the District of Columbia.

I’ll be the devil’s advocate here. She is not in office, and she has not yet deprived him of anything and presently lacks the means to do so.
Once socialists get power, forget about them being civil with it.
So what? She is a minority. She is a Democrat. She can do whatever she wants. She is not constrained by laws. Laws are for deplorables, working class folks, and Trump supporters. We must kneel before her and accept the fact that she is morally superior to us. Accept her superiority and obey.
She better hope that nobody else in Congress does...
That power, or the perception of power, is going to go to her head. Especially after she throws one of her numerous temper tantrums, when she doesn’t get on the committee that she wants to. And, when she does, she’s going to think that she can just bulldoze her way around town.
She’ll surround herself with lackeys who know less than she does and nod their heads in agreement all day. She’s trouble and I’m betting that Dem leadership knows it. I don’t think she’s going to get too many veterans telling her to slow down. I think they’re going to let her do what she wants, knowing that eventually she’ll do something that will get her in trouble and get her tossed or charged. She took out one of their steady members.
Payback can be a bitch.

If not, let’s start one. I give her less than one year and I’m being generous. She’ll be such a disgrace to the already disgraced Democrat Party that they will have to get rid of her before the 2020 elections.
She is the national symbol of Democrat Party mental illness, vindictiveness and sheer stupidity.

I bet that in 2 years she will have forgotten what it felt like to not live like a ruling class cardholder. At that point, she'll have to either learn to be shrewd like a Pelosi type, or go down in flames.
In any event, she's too stupid to be a threat to civilization.
I think she will be used as an attack dog - through somebody ghost-writing her tweets (in person, she she will still come off as a goofy teen girl).
When the tweets prove to be ineffective, she will be cast aside.
On my laymans reading it seems to say he can sue her if she were somehow able to get congress to make good on her threat....which makes her threat idle. The real issue is that she makes idle threats to abuse power in place of rebutting effective criticism.
This is how it starts. We are in a civil war. Not a disagreement. A real civil war. Progressives and socialists against the deplorabl white middle class. The progressives and socialists will increase their efforts to come after us. We won the last battle in this war against the deplorable white middle class when we elected Trump. That cannot be allowed to stand. I have just lost my right to vote in California due to post election vote harvesting. Notice that it is legal when Dems do it in California but illegal when Republicans do it in North Carolina. When you lose your right to vote the next step is Civil War.

That changes in a month. She is a self described Socialist. The inner tyrant in her will be unleashed and I’m sure she has a long memory. She gets no pass
Threats are always fulfilled in the future. Not being in office yet is no defense.

And, unfortunately, like Lois Lerner, she will never be held accountable for anything.
