A new German-Franco document that was presented on Thursday, states that EU countries that refuse to take refugees should pay to escape their responsibility, Reuters reports.
The measure is seen as a form of alternative solidarity in which EU member states pay into the EUs budget for developmental projects in Africa.
The document aims to prevent renewed conflicts over taking migrants. By paying off their responsibility to take migrants, EU rows with countries that dont want to take migrants or refugees could be prevented.
Among other things, the document does say that a situation should be avoided in which all countries prefer to pay.
Countries like Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic have frequently repeated they dont want to take migrants.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said near the start of the migrant crisis that Hungary does not need a single migrant for the economy to work, or the population to
Correct.
That is the direction. Brain drain took place in England long ago.
Yes, Greece financial views put them in bondage to the EU. AND the Islamist there want to put them in the grave.
Greeks deserve better. And they are NATO.
The point here...is that it’s a position-paper, and nothing much else. The Germans want the French in some ‘all-or-nothing’ attempt to just ram it down on EU members. I don’t see more than five or six accepting this, and the rest just laughing over the mere suggestion. No one is going to pay anything (refugee-tax will be term used), and it’ll be a major factor in the May 2019 EU election.
I’ll add this issue...just because you accept refugees....doesn’t mean that they will stay in your country. The minute you arrive in Portugal, Greece or Poland....discovering almost no real money to help you make it the first two years while in language training....everyone will pack up and head over to Germany. The other issue...just about every single African heading north...has only two destinations in mind....UK and Germany.
Beautiful unique European cultures will be destroyed at the alter of ‘cheap labor and efficiency' for German Industrialization... In return member EU states will become interchangeable gray ‘cogs’ - part of a well oiled machine.
And they'll discover in time that the United States will NEVER come in to save their sorry butts again.
They recognize an invasion when they see one.
Lessee now...the EU will back up its demand by sending the mighty Franco-German Wehrmacht to invade Hungary and Poland. Made up entirely of Muslim mercenaries, the FGW presents a real threat to those recalcitrant states.
Ha, how long has the rest of the world tried to help Africa? Development projects throw good money after bad.
Good list there. And the “soft” totalitarians are perhaps the most dangerous, as they increase their power slowly over time. So few people take notice.
Time for Europe to kill the eu leaders and retake their nations..bring out the guillotines
Reply: Send in the Wehrmacht and try to collect.
You will soon have a visit from the Bluehelmet Stazi.
;-)
A choice?
I’ll take NEITHER for about a thousand bazillion dollars.
They are all evil. No matter what stage. But the stealth mode you mention is hard to fend off.
yea, I know an officer in charge of a major city who says the back up plan for riots is to deploy blue helments around the city, he said the first shot he would fire would be in the un leaders head
If I was Putin, I would start rebuilding the Iron Curtain with countries that want out of the EU.
Putin is already collecting pieces of the old USSR and going after Islamist Terrorist supporting countries to join in.
Totally on the wrong side.
Putin has no respect for freedom lovers or representative government.
And the fee should be called by what it is. Jizya.
The rise of the Holy Roman Empire.
