Well, in reality Muslims have been in America and contributing to it even before the nation was formed, since approximately 15 percent of the slaves from Africa were Muslim. Advertisement
But now Muslim Americans are “here” in a whole new way as a record number won their elections last Tuesday. And ironically many of these candidates were inspired to run in response to the most openly anti-Muslim president our nation has ever seen, Donald Trump.
This “Muslim wave” was led by the first Muslim American women ever elected to Congress in our nation’s history: Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar and Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib.
Omar’s story is especially inspiring given that Trump would have banned her from the country if he was in office when she was trying to immigrate here because she’s from Somalia, one of the nations listed in Trump’s Muslim ban. Now Trump will have to deal with her as a new Democratic member of Congress.
Other big winners among Muslim candidates included Keith Ellison, who became the first Muslim ever to win statewide office with his victory as Minnesota’s attorney general. In North Carolina, we saw the first Muslim American ever elected to the state Senate with the victory of 32-year-old lawyer, Mujtaba Mohammed, who is Indian-American. And there were also numerous other Muslim Americans winning elections in local races, including five Muslim American women who were elected in California’s Bay Area, from City Council to Board of Education. As the Council on American Islamic Relations noted, all told a record 55 Muslims won election last week from federal to local offices.

Take a time machine back to Sept 12, 2001 and tell people that Barack Hussein Obama will be elected president in 2008 and serve 2 terms and shortly afterwards, 55 Muslims will win elective office, and anyone from 2001 would ask, “Did Saudi Arabia conquer us? How did we lose the war?”

Those Muslims cheat in numbers. They are very organized in crime and corruption.

I wouldn't question 15%. The number is derived from the fact that about half the areas slaves were taken from had Muslims. Africa was an early victim of Islam. You can find much higher numbers. Though they were a minority. There are a few Arabic, which are assumed Muslim, names on Revolutionary War muster roles. Slaves were not necessarily practicing their faith, particularly in multiple generations of slaves. Does any of this make the case of some sort of contribution to American culture, of course not.

SCOTUS already has an approximately "correct" (for the Quota Crowd) 11% Black (the US is 12.3%), and 11% Hispanic (12.6%) Bench... But 33% are Jewish (2% of the US) and 55% are Catholic (67% if you include Gorsuch), despite only 7 Catholics EVER appearing on the Bench before Scalia (only 7% of the pre-Scalia SCOTUS population, and only 22% of the US population).

One of my friends has long said that about the election of the Dear Leader. It goes to show the level of political insanity in this country. You can’t fix stupid.

This guy has it upside-down and backwards. The election of Trump is a reaction to the immigration policies of the administrations prior. Those immigration policies brought in extremely large numbers of immigrants, many from Muslim countries like Somalia. As immigrants have done historically, they clustered in areas with people who share their ethnicity and voted for candidates that share their ethnicity. Bring in a large number of immigrants from Muslim countries, pack them into a handful of congressional districts and voila, you have a bunch of newly elected Muslim politicians... just like you have an even larger number of newly elected Hispanics.
It didn’t matter if we elected Trump or not, elected Muslims were coming. Blaming it on Trump is just a means to try and separate him from his supporters.
My problem with these pols is they bring in un-American and anti-American attitudes. If we slow down the immigration maybe we can get to the business of Americanizing the ones here before they Islamicize our country. Unfortunately the country first needs to remember what it means to be American again.
What are Muslims contributing other than genital mutilation and child marriage?
This is how it begins. They are safe from all criticism. They will not be held to account for their actions.
They swore to uphold the Constitution. They will not be doing that.
