Two Americans wanted to create a satellite in an effort to increase internet access in Africa, but their project is quickly and potentially dangerously turning over into the hands of the Chinese government.
Boeing agreed to build the satellite even after the founders of Global IP informed them it was being financed by the Chinese government through a web of shell companies and foreign transactions.
China appears to be ramping up efforts to usurp the technology, causing concern for U.S. officials.

Emil Youssefzadeh and Umar Javed, two “Americans” who founded the startup Global IP in 2008 with the goal of improving internet accessibility in Africa, realized they needed a lot of equity to get their project off the ground and the satellite into orbit.
Too many Americans just want to sell their country to the Chinese, period.
Only one?
I don’t see a big problem. Send up a more secure one and blow this one out of the sky.
Too many Americans care about becoming wealthy more than they care for their country. Too many people are not Americans but parasites who take advantage of the country they don’t care for or even like.
I believe it was Lenin who said: The capitalists will sell us the rope we use to hang them with.
” While there are several laws that forbid exporting satellite technology to China, Boeing Co. agreed to build the satellite for an American startup company even after the founders told the defense contractor that the Chinese government was financially backing the project, according to the report.”
Can the US gov. threaten Boeing with canceling all their contracts with them and never giving them another one, unless they stop this?
That would get their attention. Hit them where it hurts, in the pocketbook.
Shoot it down.
Agreed -
US Space Force target practice *

Well, ya know, selling America out to Mexico and basically South America keeps getting more difficult.
You are right, if you want to destroy a satellite you need to do so in a way that keeps it intact. There are ways.
How can we be so stupid?
How can we be so stupid?

Are we sure this wasn’t the Clinton Foundation? Oh, that was Haiti....sorta.
Send some Microsoft patches up to it. Problem solved.
LOL - that would do it.
Girl: “I’ve been bad. And I need to be punished.”
Guy: “O.K.” he said. And then he installed Windows 10 on her laptop.
...with the goal of improving internet accessibility in Africa...
Which goes along nicely with Chinas plan for African development.
Because the world needs more African scammers running estate scams, oil money transfer scams, dying rich relative scams, and defintely more beautiful white woman stuck in Africa and anxious to marry you scams.
