The damage caused by the drug mules & illegals walking into his country for years far exceeds the damage from ‘building the WALL.
These ‘leaders’ should put their money where their mouth is & actually Go & SEE he trails of debris, diapers, and many other ‘pollutants’.

Not if you are doing legal writing.
The correct form is a,b,c, and d.
According to the blue book.

I’ve never understood why parentheses are acceptable in mathematical groupings but not written text; most likely there is no intonation/inflection to indicate such.

I know you guys are correct about , and. Im probably dating myself but its just isnt the way I was taught. And it could be that the rule has been in place for a long time and I had bad teachers.
BTW, is it OK to start a sentence with AND? It wasnt allowed by my teachers but I do it all the time. Same with sentence fragments.
Maybe I should go back to school.

In my opinion, the most difficult apostrophe situation is “its” and “it’s.” It is difficult to remember which is which. So my personal rule is, never use the contraction, never use the apostrophe.

Not using the apostrophe is just as bad as misusing it. It is very easy: its is possessive, and its is a contraction.

No, it is not ever correct to begin a sentence with “and”. Possibly excepting close personal conversation, but PLEASE do not cite me, as I’m sure the nuns would have my hide...

All of the militant environmental groups mentioned have their roots in their cultish worship of Edward Abbey, a radical wack job environmentalist who was also a true misogynist, an alcoholic, and a drug abuser. Abbey is a very interesting and eloquent writer, but the content of his writings is disturbing. He advocated vandalizing electric utility transmission lines and blowing up both Hoover and Glen Canyon dams.
These environmental groups are as crazy and hateful as Edward Abbey was.

LOL. I absolutely agree with you about AND not being allowed for starting a sentence.
And, since no one is grading my Freeper posts, Im just going to keep starting sentences that way.

...a challenge by three conservation groups to the authority... to build a wall... without complying with applicable environmental laws. The groups are the Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Defenders of Wildlife.
IOW, the CBD, ALDF, and DoW have nothing to do with environmental issues, conservation, or animal welfare.
