Tijuana Closes Caravan Shelter, Moves Migrants Further From Border
Hot Air ^ | 2 Dec 2018 | Jazz Shaw

For some time now, the advance guard of the caravan has been sheltered in the Tijuana sports complex, where officials have been providing them with food and basic medical attention as best they can. That came to an end this weekend. While officials in Tijuana had said that they didn’t plan to forcibly move anyone, they are now shipping the migrants to a concert venue ten miles further from the border. Apparently, the conditions inside the stadium had become too grim to bear. (Washington Times)

The conditions inside that stadium definitely sound grim. It doesn’t help that the venue had partially flooded during the recent rainstorms. But the temporary residents were also apparently ripe with parasites and communicable diseases. That’s not the first time we’ve heard that complaint, however. Even with some of the migrants who have already been allowed into the United States for amnesty hearings, American officials have noted the large numbers who carry infectious diseases. And Tijuana municipal government spokesmen have broadcast the same warning.

Tijuana’s Health Department is warning that migrants who came with the caravan are suffering from respiratory infections, tuberculosis, chickenpox and other serious health issues.

The spokesman told Fox News that out of 6,000 migrants currently residing in the city, over a third of them (2,267) are being treated for health-related issues.

I always saw parallels between addiction and illegal immigration. These caravan hordes are like addicts (insofar as addiction is an attempt to deal with spiritual pain) Their true pain is the corruption and socialist malaise in their own sh*thole countries, and they take the easy way of the addict: to run from themselves to America. Like any chemical addict, nothing positive is going to happen until they face their addiction to an easy out, and turn their gaze inward and rebuild their own societies.

Now leaving thousands of Mexicans free to continue breaking into our country without the competition of their neighbors to the south.

Addiction is an illness, not an excuse to deal with anything in life, good or bad. Not everyone deals with spiritual pain by attempting to ‘’cure the soul by means of the senses’’. Illegal immigration is a crime, pure and simple.

You think people 200-300 years ago knew about germ warfare? They thought a black cat with an evil eye or a witches curse made you sick.

Sounds like the stadium they housed people in in New Orleans after Katrina...but I don’t think those folks had diseases to spread around like these people from Central America..

My son was one of those. He was going to Tulane at the time and they put students on a bus and brought them there. He said it was a very nasty place.

They may not have understood germ theory, but they certainly knew enough about cause-and-effect to use it for their ends. In 1347 a Mongol tribe lobbed the bodies of their dead (who were suddenly dropping in large numbers for no obvious reason) over the walls of a Genoese trading port they were besieging in Crimea, thus unwittingly sending the Black Death to Europe as the Genoese evacuated.

I saw online that something called a “Panda” boat with 13 migrants and the crew on the boat, delivered the 13 to a California beach who sprinted up the beach stunning visitors. Authorities managed to apprehend 7 of them. We’re gonna’ need the coast guard protecting our beaches now.

Guess you never heard that blankets with smallpox were given to the Indians.

Do you not believe that our enemy would love to cause a pandemic?

The ball is squarely in Mexico’s court at this point.

Nothing like a little leverage. We are now post the G-20 where the new USMCA was just signed. Trump says he will formally end NAFTA shortly (Monday? Tuesday?) which leaves Mexico looking at USMCA falling through and leaving them with no NAFTA if they don't cooperate, and AMLO is sounding cooperative.

I had never heard about blankets with smallpox. Was this intentional? For sure strange germs can cause misery to people who never had a need to develop immunity to them.

But one thing...leftists may not care about diseases from these “poor downtrodden souls just seeking a better life”.
Think of the Swedes and Germans who think rape by muslims is actually something they must tolerate due to the “poor muslims”....etc. It’s unbelievable how twisted people’s minds can get.

10,000 people clearly are sheep and
don’t know how to think for themselves.
How incredibly sad to be so stupid.

“... blankets with small pox … given to the Indians.”

An urban legend. Attributed to different British authorities at different times. And it would not have transmitted the disease anyway, as the small pox virus does not survive for long out of the body. The practice of some tribes of massacring people in forts they overrun, including the sick in the hospitals, and of disinterring the dead to rob the graves, on the other hand, certainly could have passed on the small pox to the warriors to take back to their home villages.
