In the future, when all cars are electric, will they create public destruction by somehow short-circuiting and firing or exploding the battery packs? Of course, then the rioting will be over the price of electricity.

Nobody wants to be ruled by global elites in Brussels.
Why do people want to control the lives of other people? Why can't we all just live and be our own nations and communities?

They are taxed enough already. I love it.

So people burn their precious gasoline to make a statement? They must be really angry to do that.

“Macron, in Argentina for a G20 summit, said he would convene ministers to discuss the crisis upon his return on Sunday”
yeah, convening a committee and talking a lot about stupidly high fuel taxes levied for ridiculous reasons should solve the problem all right ...

A far left populace protesting high taxes.
Go figure.

Based on all of the looting and violence, I can’t help but wonder if these rioters are of native French extraction or recently arrived immigrants of non-European lineage.

Apparently, nothing unites the French like this issue. Maybe all the pensioners are in on it, on top of everyone else. When your income is fixed--even if it's a fat pension--you get bad problems fast if the government suddenly makes it ruinously expensive to go anywhere, or in the end, to breathe.

If we were to have done the same when the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriages were constitutional, we would not have had such an evil ruling. We don’t have the backbone.
