George HW Bush. My initial reactions are mixed. President. Deep Stater. I had some great times when he was president and some not so good ones too.

I’ll end with this: RIP. Now you’re back with Barbara again.

Not sure if I should say anything bad,

“wouldn’t be prudent.”

He will be remembered for raising Dana Carvey to the status of major comedian.

His brand of “liberal Republican” made severe errors in judgment about three things, post-Soviet politics in eastern Europe, the security of western interests in the Middle East, and the cultural integrity of America in the wake of tolerated mass illegal immigration.

Those are three rather large blots to have on one’s record and thus perhaps it WOULD be prudent to criticize even at a time when some might want to pay respects.

You have to wonder what was in those health supplements that Obama handed him in Houston the other day. (”Here, take these, Hillary says they really make her feel better, like when Seth Rich took them.”)

I think he already glimpsed JFK in 63.

I won’t speak ill of the dead who preached NWO and surrender to the UN, imprinting his world view on his children. Not today, anyway.

Was he found hanging from a doorknob by a red scarf? /sarc>

Treasonous globalist bastard.

What I remember was his refusal to punch back st the Clintons. ("Wouldn't be...prudent.")

Look at all the grave evil his cowardice cost the country.

Deliberate saboteurs, as distinguished from traitors like McNoName, Corker, Flake, Collins, Jeffords, ...

I think you meant to say that it would be a disgrace if he WASN’T.

1992 marked the first time I ever voted for a Republican to become President. I cast that ballot for GHW Bush—and until that election, I had been a lifelong Democrat.

Even though it was in a losing cause (Impeached 42 seized power after that election) the man who served his country for four years in the White House was one of honor.

Intervening years have caused me to reassess the true story of what was happening—but I wouldn’t change my support for President Bush over the Clinton machine.

A single jihadist bomb there, would take out a *lot* of Deep Staters; wondering how kindly disposed the Iranians are to ex-'43, as he did take out Saddam Hussein from power for them.

To ALL the dearly departed, RIP. Bush served courageiously in war, so he deserves praise for that.

Maybe this is a good time to mention that the traditional of the public paying for some magnificent library for each dead President is silly and an insult to taxpayers.

Most of them are not worthy of praise. Obama’s library in Chicago will hurt that community. The people hate the idea of it.

If people love a President, let them put up their own money to praise him. But don’t force us to pay for 2/3rds of the Presidents who failed our Republic.

I’ve heard Reagan’s Library is a fine place. But I’d still like to see it paid for by his followers, not the public.
