A lot of people move to Central America because of the Climate and the low cost of Housing.

The invaders come from countries closer to the equator. According to global warming theory it is the higher latitudes of the earth that are meant to experience the most profound changes. The higher latitudes in fact, would become more hospitable for humans, not less. The equatorial regions would stay pretty much as they are.
