President Donald Trump's views on climate change are very, very well established.
Just over eight years ago, he tweeted this: "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive." In 2014, he penned this tweet: "It's late in July and it is really cold outside in New York. Where the hell is GLOBAL WARMING??? We need some fast! It's now CLIMATE CHANGE."
All of which brings me to last Friday -- 48 hours after Trump's how-can-the-world's-climate-be-changing-if-it's-cold-in-half-the-country-on-one-day tweet -- and the moved-up release of the Fourth National Climate Assessment, a study involving 13 federal agencies and more than 300 leading climate scientists.
If you missed the study's release, well, that was the point.
What's genuinely scary about this is that, unlike some random dude on the street who chooses to ignore the science on climate change, Donald Trump is in a position to have a considerable impact on how we approach (or don't) solving the problem. He already has -- pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord. That makes the US the only country in the world not signed on to the global attempt to curb climate change.
The decisions Trump makes -- or, more likely, doesn't -- on climate change are not the sort of thing that are easily reversible. This latest report -- you know, the one that the Trump administration sought to bury because its conclusions are at odds with the President's personal beliefs -- suggests they may not be reversible at all.

There is a town in Florida on US-301 that is named ‘Citra’ and there is a County named ‘Citrus’. That name, along with a multitude of other citrus-related names, indicates where the orange & citrus groves USED to be. Neither of these places actually grows much non-personal citrus anymore.
The commercial groves now start about a 100 miles south of where they were in the 1970s. A lot of this is due to the length of time to establish an orange grove but still, if the science is so solid, you’d think that there would be growers looking at once productive lands.
Never give up the con!
What you stated is correct.
What you fail to state or possibly even personally acknowledge is the fact that these agencies are stacked top to bottom with Obama holdovers, career scientists/bureaucrats, and political operatives who’s very professional existence is dependent on their ability to self perpetuate a requisite for their job.
Fake news. Its cold and were supposed to believe snow will soon be a thing of the past.
Yeah, sure.
Were supposed to believe in climate change? What has happened to critical thing and scientific rigor?
I am shocked!
Its irreversible? Isnt that what they said back in 1988?
Its always five minutes to midnight with the climate change cult.
All of whom depend on so called climate change for their funding...
Probably, but no administration gets to replace everyone in the bureaucracy for better or worse this is Trump's administration.
A subject repeatedly beaten to death. Theres no objective evidence of climate change.
And even if you accept the planets warming up, its beyond mans ability to change the weather to his liking.
He evidently didn’t bury it very deep since it’s been all over the news all weekend and yet today
Evidently people resist proposed solutions to combat it.
In France, people are up in arms over green diesel fuel tax hikes.
CNN = Continual Negative News.
I’m not arguing that fact as I stated. However, your statement, although technically correct was misleading in it’s implication.
This report for all “practical purpose” might have just as well been produced by an Obama or Hillary Clinton administration as the agencies that produced it are almost exclusively populated with their acolytes.
There is no such thing, by definition, as "settled" science. Science isn't based on consensus.
This is more like a cult or religion for these people. There is no other explanation for how fanatical some people are about the climate changing. Like climate has been "static" in all of history until now.
In their minds, humans can stop what mother nature has in store for the planet earth. That's either real arrogance or real stupidity to think humans can control things that....well....are out of our control.
A report that no one believes and that is incredibly irresponsible, in that it will lull the appropriate agencies into not preparing for the harsh winters ahead, for the corresponding deaths due to lack of heating, the closed roads, the power outages.
Winter is coming.
And winters will get progressively worse for the next 30 years.
All this BS about raising temperatures in the short term is just BS.
How can our kids believe in science after global warming is uncovered to be the Con it is?
If he “buried it”, then how come we keep reading everywhere about what is in the report?
Oh, please. FOX has been covering it, albeit in brief.
Surprise...Trump is not a Cultist.
Its not like its a secret.
Climate change isnt science and its far from settled.
And science isnt a consensus affair.
