Huge plumes of smoke were seen on one of France's most iconic streets today, as protesters burned large plywood sheets, chairs and other material in demonstrations against planned fuel hikes. A water cannon and rounds of teargas were also used by riot police against thousands of French 'Yellow Vest' fuel protesters in Paris today as the Champs Elysee was reduced to a battlefield. The grassroots movement is campaigning against a what is believes to be a general decline in living standards across the country, and the recent decision to raise fuel prices. The worst violence took place on the most famous avenue in the city where a huge crowd called for President Emmanuel Macron to resign.

Yes. We sold our 3,400 sq ft home on 8,000 sg ft of land in California, and bought a 4,000 sg ft home on 2 1/2 acres, for the same price. Our property taxes were pretty low over there, having bought in the late 90s. But our property tax here is half what our California buyers are paying now, on the same cost of the home. We do really enjoy visiting there though!

Gee. When hundreds of muslims and anarchists burn thousands of cars on a pretty regular basis, no one says much.

Guessing they used expensive gas to fuel the fires.
One of the things that frequently occurred behind the Iron Curtain, were deadly riots when the government increased prices.
It happened in Poland in 1976, and it was the spark that led to the creation of Solidarity.
Coupled with the Muslim immigrants, Macron’s days may be numbered.

U.S. Liberals love how the European elites attack Trump, while the people in Europe protest with riots in the streets over the policies of their elites.
A giant disconnect is at work in the world, disconnecting the elites from the people they thought it was their right to rule over.
For instance, a 4 lane [2 in each direction, o ver-night becomes a 2 lane street ... one lane in each direction.
Theyre doing that all over, not just in CA/LA.
