Fox News issued an on-air apology today after one of its guests compared former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to herpes during a broadcast.
Anna Paulina, Turning Point USA’s director of hispanic engagement, appeared along with political analyst Doug Schoen to discuss a favorite Fox News topic, Clinton’s deleted emails.
Host Rick Leventhal made an offhand remark about how Clinton remains in the news, prompting Paulina’s caustic remark.
“She won’t go away. She’s like herpes,” Paulina said, causing Leventhal to appear stunned.
“OK, that is news that we are breaking here,” Leventhal responded. “Not appropriate.”
Paulina disappeared from the segment, which was cut short with Leventhal apologizing to the viewers for “some of the language used in the segment.”
Fox News anchor Arthel Neville extended a separate Thanksgiving Day apology to Clinton.
“We are all Americans, and that is the focus and we want to reiterate that we do not condone the language that Anna Paulina just displayed here, and we apologize to Secretary Clinton for that,” she said after the segment concluded. “Fox News does not condone her sentiments.”
The news site The Daily Caller was the first to report the remark.
That was a terrible insult to herpes everywhere.
Well...we are talking about something that flares up every four years...
Herpes is good but I prefer to compare her to a severe case of the “crabs”. Mechanized dandruff, if you will.
Are we sure Herpes heard the apology?
Poor Herpes being compared to Hillary.
Sounds pretty accurate... What’s the problem?
Not to mention just about every leading candidate thinks the same of her.

So sensitive. It is a metaphor, “like herpes”. Maybe not the best comparison but good grief why make a big deal about it? It almost gives it credibility by calling attention and making people actually think about it. It’s getting dangerous out there for any form of free thought. May today’s thought police be tomorrow’s thought criminals so they can see what they have wrought.
She didn’t compare Hillary to Herpes, she compared Hillary’s actions to Herpes.
I have boycotted FOX since the evening on election night..and to tell you the truth I don’t miss them one iota, nope not even Dobbs, Hannity, and tucker my go to news folks!! NEVER GOING BACK!! NEVER!! Screw them!!!

Wow that would be OK if it was said about Trump on numerous networks. But their reaction says to me that she is running again.

They say worse about President Trump everyday on other networks. You have to admit, that herpes line was pretty good.
