Interesting interview covering multiple aspects to the change in House power. Soon to be in the minority, HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes discusses the likely diminished investigation into DOJ/FBI corruption as a result of Rod Rosenstein and Dirty Cops running out the clock.
One of the interesting points noted by Nunes is how Speaker Paul Ryan requested the DOJ and FBI declassify internal emails for House committee use. However, DAG Rod Rosenstein refused to provide the emails which highlighted how officials within the institution abused their authority.
It will be interesting to watch how the trust the plan group, those proclaiming Rod Rosenstein is the harbinger of DOJ virtue, reconcile todays interview with Devin Nunes.
The only remaining ray of light I see in this whole thing is that perhaps the new acting Attorney General could appoint a Special Counsel, ala Mueller, to investigate this stuff.
In my opinion the House and Senate committees are always destined to be show-and-tell affairs. It is unfortunate to see them end with so many open questions, but after two years Nunes hasn't gotten anyone indicted.
As I have maintained for a long time, at the end of the day only indictments have real power to shift the narrative. This is double true for Conservatives operating in the hostile Leftist media environment.
Thanks to Ryan being such a wimp, the Deep State now has an effective playbook to avoid sunlight. Thanks, Paul.
The devil never gets tired of winning.
I will acknowledge that I couldn’t get myself to read the article, but let me get this straight. Republicans controlled the legislative and executive branches of government and now they are complaining that the bureaucracy got over on them. Is that about correct?
So it is no badge of honor to highlight your own ineptitude. Tell me, after nearly three years could you not have been more forceful and prosecuted?
Oh, shucks, looks like the big one got away. Must have been a faulty fishin’ pole.
What a crock.
Trump sabotaged his Presidency when he appointed Sessions and was intimidated to back off when he was about to release the classified documents in September. History will not be kind.
It was his job.
It was his job.
Second biggest problem was Ryan.
Ryan and Sessions are the two Republicans who did the most damage.
If I had to pick which one was the worst, I'd choose Ryan.
That investigation was never going anywhere. The new players in this are going to go to the extremes to take out the deep state and will not be hindered by politicians.
Lindsey Graham has promised to pick the gauntlet when he takes over the Judiciary Committee.
Sundance’s work amounted to no more than a Hannity “Tick Tock” did. Although, to his credit, Sundance included pretty pictures.
They also hold all the cards at this point.
Tic toc.... pfft....(thanks Magoo and your Q acolytes)
IIRC we were thrilled to pieces when Trump named Sessions as AG. We cheered and stomped every time he appeared at Trump’s rallies. He fooled us all.
It’s all BS. Trump is isolated and the Deep State is still functioning. All Democrat criminals walk free and that isn’t changing. Time to face reality, and the Q crew is dropping followers quickly. The holdout cultists can’t face reality and just get more upset. I was a Q hoper for a long time, but one must face the facts eventually. MOABS, Bombshells, Enjoy the Show, We are in control, IG investigations, secret indictments, military tribunals, Mueller is on “our side” all BS.
Hillary has openly broken multiple laws and still NOTHING is done, and she is one of many. Crackdown on leaks? Name one.
The FBI is the only place Trump has made small progress by firing some people. Other than that, the Deep State still rules.
I've long been of the mind that a new political party must be formed that would actually fight the battles that the GOP should be fighting but won't. It wouldn't be easy, of course, but if there is one person that could make it happen, it would be Trump. The GOP at this point is worthless and unwilling to fight.
He’s not an honorable man. Prior to the beginning of the muller witch hunt, he should have seen that coming from a mile away and resigned as AG. The politics of the last 18 months could have been very different.
Declass the FISA dossier........NOW !
