Democratic Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams claimed victory over Republican Rep. Mia Love Monday after new Salt Lake County results showed her trailing by 739 votes in the 4th Congressional District race.
"I'm eager to get to work," McAdams said at a hastily called news conference held at his Millcreek campaign headquarters. "We are confident there is no way Rep. Love will retake the lead." He said he has not yet tried to contact the two-term congresswoman. "I do want to give her the space," McAdams said, anticipating her campaign wanted time to review the numbers released early Monday evening. "I think she's entitled to that."

So she lost after all.
What a shockah.
I thought she had regained the lead
Friggin’, election stealing racist Utah honky. Once these ‘RAT piglets take the lead in a “recount”, everything stops and the ‘RAT is declared the winner.
She did until Salt Lake county counted their provisional votes.
So she was leading by 419 going into the recount, and... you guessed it.. the DEM WINS AGAIN!
Damn... even Utah’s going blue...
When our candidates declare they are winners when the election is over and they lead, as in Florida, the democRATS scream bloody murder "Count ALL the votes" them proceed to try to steal it after it's already over.
Now in Utah, Mia was ahead yesterday, but as soon as the democRAT goes into the lead, they decalare it's over and their guy won.
How convenient for those losing democRATS.
Happens all over the country. And no one from our side is out there fighting this. At least no yet publicly.
Scott fought, waitin a bit but still fought and won
While on the one hand it sucks to see another seat flip blue, on the other hand I’m heartened to see another never-trumper out on their derriere. This is the way the Republican party is shaping up: either get behind MAGA, or get out of the way.
There was no recount.
Mia turned her back on Trump. Mia lost. It’s a Mormon thing.
Official election policy in a federal election states that if Republican candidate cannot win by a margin greater than 10% of the vote, they do not deserve to be declared the winner. I am paraphrasing old man Daley.
UPDATE: Rep. Mia Love issued the following statement Monday:
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the
voters, who along with our family, have been waiting for two
weeks to get election results. Thank you for your continued
participation in this process.
Bye, Mia.
It wasn’t fun.
Good riddance, RINETTE.
Too bad, Mia.
Bye.
The Mormon thing is open borders.
It’s behind all of the NeverTrumpism.
"...Election Day..."
So, what have we learned?
I have learned that I should
- vote absentee at my residence
- vote absentee at my winter residence
- if times and funds exist, vote early at my winter residency.
- if times and funds exist, vote in person at my winter residency.
- vote early using my college dorm residency
- vote early in my college town
- vote early in my residency
- vote in person on election day in my residency
- vote in person in my college town
- vote in person at nearby precincts saying “ I don’t know my precinct.” (check bus schedules).
- vote anywhere an “open late” or a last minute GOTV call is made.
Once the call of “Count EVERY vote!” is made, provisional review is suspended and all 11 of my votes will then be counted.
