Sorry, Rush, but I have to say the best time for Americans to live is the 80’s, when Reagan was president and real economic stability was returned to the Republic. America was the most integrated, Section 8 hadn’t yet taken hold outside of the project areas, and individual initiative and free speech was still valued, even in universities.
Yes, we had far less technology, but at least there was civility, non-preachy entertainment media, no rap (which feeds the envy/hate nerve bigtime), and most of all, a commitment to a patriotic, religious country.
Yes, I was a young adult in the military back then, but I would rather be there now at age 60 than here, even with the medical technology less advanced. But that’s just me.

Listening to Rush recite the glories of the Pilgrims, his favorite Thanksgiving tale.
Does anybody think that Rush knows that the Jamestown colony was over a dozen years old when the Pilgrims dropped anchor up north? That Jamestown already had an elective government, the House of Burgesses? That various thanksgivings had already been held at Berkeley Hundred?

A very happy Thanksgiving to you, my life!
Today, we are eating in our hotel room - we’ve moved and our home isn’t ready. So we bought a cooked chicken, cranberry sauce, potato salad & cole slaw with a side of cornbread. I’ll have to look for a recipe for tornado cake - my real estate agent just gave me a recipe for Butter Fingers cake.
