South Afrika was tricameral towards the end, mon. One chamber each for Whites, Coloreds (mixed race), and Indians (tons immigrated there, Gandi lived there for a while, that’s where he learned how to be a rabble rousing pseudo-marxist). The plan for Blacks was self-governing Bantustans.
As for judicial terms limits, I used to think that was a great idea but I don’t know, depends how long we control the White House/Senate. I bet a lot of rats would get behind the idea right now. If we get a couple more 45-55 year old conservatives on the Supreme it wouldn’t make a ton of sense for us in the medium term.
If they created some type of "maximum of 25 years on the federal bench or whenever you reach the age of 75, whichever comes first" rule, and applied it RETROACTIVELY to ALL the sitting federal judges, it would force scores of Clinton & Obama appointees (a combined 16 years of leftist judge appointments currently in office) into early retirement, and be a boon for all our side. We could then fill all those vacancies while the GOP controls the Senate.
Of course, making it retroactive would also likely result in the law being blocked. I don't think they got term limits for Presidents until making the law explicitly say it didn't apply to the CURRENT President, thus getting the Truman administration to endorse the idea.
Still, I'd try for a retroactive "25 years on the bench/maximum age of 75" law first. Can't hurt to try.
