There used to be a restaurant called BR549 in my hometown.
No one.
Tom Petty pretty much has modern C and W music pegged...
“Bad rock with a fiddle.”
Anyway RIP, homey.
RIP. What a picker!!
I felt the same way when I was a kid.
Two of us.
RIP Roy Clark.
I liked Buck Owens more for some reason.
LOL - thanks so much for reminding me about “Thank God and Greyhound”. Great song that I have not heard in far too long.
Roy was a true gentleman and amazing talent ..
May Roy Clark RIP.
He was one of the best.
That was incredible

Jerry Reed was another. I had no idea how good he was.
Checked the IMDB and he’d have been 85 years old, so while we can feel that good bit sad to see him go, that is still a fairly ripe age to have lived to, even for today. BTW, someone on YouTube has uploaded a bunch of Hee Haw episodes from the 1969 to about 1973 or 1974 period that have Don Rich and Stringbean in them. You wonder why TNN really did not show these episodes when they re ran the show frequently back in the 1990s (possibly because of the tragic circumstances surrounding both of those I named).
Could you imagine what the left would do today if someone else tried to do that desk clerk from the Empty Arms Hotel bit?
RIP Roy. I always liked "Thank God and Greyhound You're Gone".
No doubt if he wanted to, he could have put most heavy metal players to shame.
[[A true genius.]]
Absolutely he was- love watching old clips of him on youtube- that man could play the strings off a lot of instruments-
Saw him twice in small venue concerts. 1st was incredible.... last time a couple of years back. Last one he could sing every song, but couldnt play guitar or banjo. Like he had forgotten how. Was very sad, yet crowd understood and cheered all the same. He is playing now....
