How do two ships so large collide at sea?

Tankers have collided with US ships, also.
Is this a new type of warfare?
Are the GPS systems of the ships being distorted?
To: Gamecock
The oil tanker is reportedly undamaged. I seriously doubt that.

Sounds like a solid “warship”. Not.
It can’t take a hit.

Frigate is in danger of sinking after sustaining heavy damage. The 62,000 ton oil tanker is reportedly undamaged. Some "warship." Is this a case of aluminum vs. steel?

Remember the Admiral Kuznetzov, the Russian carrier that just sank at its dock.
Is this retaliation?
Is there a secret war going on with warships?
Don’t know. But curious that ships outfitted with the best in radar and GPS seem to keep colliding with massive oil tankers (hard to miss) and sustain damage.
To: Gamecock
If it’s aground it should not sink. I suppose it could slip into deeper water.
Thank goodness it didn’t result in a massive oil leak.

Note that the frigate is about 5000 tons fully loaded. I doubt that there are too many things, military or not that can take a hit from something 12 times bigger and shake it off.
To: Gamecock
Again with a warship that seems incapable of avoiding a slow moving tanker the size of a football field. What is going on.

How do two ships so large collide at sea? More to the point is how does a highly maneuverable military vessel allow itself to be hit by a slow, unmaneuverable oil tanker?
Hello bridge watch? Hello Officer of the Deck? Hello radar?
