USA Today property so headline and link only.
Other reports state suspect is a Middle Eastern male in his twenties with a long beard who shot a security guard then threw smoke grenades then kept firing. Used a "big handgun" according to a witness on ABC7 in Los Angeles.
The guy was a veteran was in the Marine Corp!!!! Im thinking PTSD or he could have been radicalized who knows!!!
I read on Twitter that his neighbor said he had PTSD and should not have had a gun.
WOW! Out of 330,000,000 people in this country that is really...interesting.
He could have had the firearm before the PTSD!!!!!
Probably not far from the truth. Figured conservatives listen to country music and singled this bar out.
Me to I’ve been to this bar several times - its a cowboy type of bar if I’m remembering correctly - this is about 5 miles from where I live. This is awful
His picture is up on Drudge.
One of my medical specialists is just a few blocks from there. I’ve never been inside, but I know they do line dancing and have thought of trying it.
A friend who went for breakfast up the street in Janss Marketplace said several streets are blocked off. So be aware.
Yes, the OP’s addition of that was a true turd toss.
I too believe this to be true... All signs point in that direction...
The picture on Drudge is at major variance with the reported witness descriptions. Many questions, including what happened to him after the military?
glock with 30 round mag, 40 cal. 45 with 2 or 3-10 rd mags.
USMC vet. Not your typical antifa lowlife.
OMG! Too close to home!
And mortgages there are outrageously expensive.
I’ve NO idea, but your post made me wonder: what if there IS a connection with the Vegas shooting somehow ? ? ?
Will this "mental health specialist" be held accountable both for their failure to properly diagnose the seriousness of the Marine's mental condition and and for the "mental health specialist's" failure to get the Marine the professional help he desperately needed?
Precisely - industry
We have a mental health problem in this country.
We dont understand that total freedom, to impaired adults, is dangerous mostly to them, but also to others. We need to be a little stricter with total freedom.
This guy was violent and at risk for self harm but when he was visited, his symptoms werent severe enough to take him into institutional protection or have firearms taken away.
We need to decide as a country how to treat our mentally ill. Right now we err toward freedom. Sounds good, right? But when you err toward freedom even for clear signs of mental illness, you need to expect and welcome these incidents. You need to expect and welcome crazed addicts violent and living on the streeets.
If we want change, we need to put $ and force behind mental illness checks and institutionalizing. Period.
I have a friend right now who is suicidal. She was put away for 2 weeks but she wont stay on meds. Her family has abandoned her so she is alone and doesnt want to take her meds. She plans suicide. She is far away from me and there is nothing I can do. She needs to be put away for her own survival. We give too much freedom to people who need help.
