And thats what is bothering me so much tonight...the strength of the Democrat positions with the electorate. Our wins against hard socialists in supposedly red states were razor thin. And our losses hurt. This was a stronger election for the Democrats than it appears on the surface.
It feels like we are at the edge of a cliff, falling over.
And that was the best they could muster with huge money and us having Paul Ryan and it being the first off year election of a new president. It was a good night in comparison to recent history.(last 50 years). It could have been a lot worse.

Yes, socialism showed strongly. Nearly half the population has vested interest in government handouts. Well, Democrats tried hard and for a midterm that was theirs to win, they fell short. Both parties should see the limits.
Trump kept the Senate, shed some Never Trumpers and GOPe in the House. I bet he’ll get more done now than he did with Ryan’s obstructionism.
