Good comment, bigbob.

And the fact that we feel relief that the SC is safe proves how lawless our country truly is.

We have a long ways to go. The House flip and close races for Governor show the Dem machine is still strong and the BLEXIT and walkaway only made baby steps so far.

The Senate gain proves the country’s voting direction is right. But way too much corrupt government and swamp animals. Long road ahead.

Trump needs to groom leaders like himself. Scott of Florida is a big win for us because he is future POTUS material.

Who do we have for 2024? Time for FReepers to discuss that.

Trump/”Q” lost 1/2 his power tonight because he didn’t have the moral potence to arrest TRAITORS the last 2 years. Next 2 years Trump is little more than Pelosi’s bitch.
Prepare to defend yourselves patriots. Peace is dead.
...
So arresting is the key, not conviction?

How would that take place e with all the rinos there until Dec 31, 2018? Many in the judiciary, too?

The Senate confirms cabinet picks, tresties, AND JUDGES (including Supremes. Think they’ll forget The Kavanaugh lesson?)
And what about the 61k sealed indictments? What if a couple dozen rats in the House get sent to Gitmo? (the RINOs having been allowed to resign quietly, thinking they were throwing the election, which they’d blame on Trump, and then elect Jeb)? ...
I found a clear thinker...I was beginning to think none were left on Freep. Thank you for giving me hope.

It is fabulous we are so strong in the Senate now. This could have gone the other way and historically it does. Dims will overplay their hand. Good riddens RINOs!

We lost several House seats in large part because of the Tax Bill.

I predicted this last December, and said so here on Free Republic.

The GOP will probably lose the House in 2018. The campaign commercials about Republicans raising taxes on many families so that corporations could get massive tax cuts will write themselves. And the democrats don't even need to lie this time.

December 2, 2017

That bill raised taxes for millions of Americans, including those in high tax states like CT, NY, NJ, CA, and others.

Corporations got a MASSIVE tax break (from 35% to 21%), and to "pay for it" they raised taxes on middle income Americans by capping or eliminating altogether deductions. People are now forced to pay taxes to the Feds upon taxes they already pay. Yes, the tax cut to corporations helped the economy, but not everyone in the middle class got a tax cut because their deductions were capped or destroyed. The Feds "needed the money."

It violated the President's pledge as a candidate:

"We will massively cut taxes for the middle class, the forgotten people, the forgotten men and women of this country, who built our country....Tax relief will be concentrated on the working and middle class taxpayer. They will receive the biggest benefit and it won't even be close." Candidate Trump, Oct 2016

The television ads were devastating. Some people on FR liked telling other residents of states they don't like to p___ off, and that none of this mattered.

Well, it did matter. We lost some House seats directly because of this issue. People are not stupid.

These are photos of people lining up last December (right during the holidays) to pre-pay taxes so as to be less screwed by the Feds come April.

Virginia

Colorado

New York

Georgia

Maryland

New Jersey

I wish we didn't lose the House. But it happened. People here can say that raising taxes on millions of middle class families didn't play a role. Fine. They can keep believe that.

The big winner was gerrymandering. It works.

This is the BS that is going to ruin everything. PAY FOR A TAX CUT? What are you, some kind of Bolshevik?

Morning my friend. Correct, we lost three seats in Pennsylvania due to gerrymandering and a corrupt judge.

Kobach for DHS.

Mueller and Rosenstein fired.

New AG.

RBG replacement.

Thomas should retire now.

And, crazy House Dems to run against in 2020.

It’s all good.

Trump will sweep 80 Trump Reps (notice I didn’t type GOP) in on his coattails. EVERYONE OF THESE NEW RAT REPS IS JUST WARMING A SEAT FOR TWO YEARS.

Apparently one of those caravans is linking up with 20k -30k Mexicans to come at the border.
It might at that point become a National Security issue, and the military builds the wall.

But I’ve got a feeling Team Trump has a couple tricks up its sleeve.

Talk about meddling in elections. It must have cost a few billionaires a pretty penny to buy congress for a treasonous political party that only cares about freaks and foreigners. There will never be an end to the Russian bs. There will be no wall, no tax cuts, no justice.

You’re a troll. The people affected by that are high earners in high-property-tax locales; most of whom are libs anyway.

That’s what I’d do if I were prez. I think I’d have done that 18 months ago.

But of course, I’m nowhere near being president, so my credibility here is limited. ;-]

Like to see how they will fix health care without Trump since they do not have 2/3 majority in the HOUSE. I don’t under estimate Trump. He knew the HOUSE was going to fall. He has an awesome team and they will or already have a plan developed on how to keep the HOUSE in line. Getting Judges approved is crucial for this country.

Dave Brat is a prime example. I used to be in his district (7th VA) and voted for him when he beat the RINO king in waiting Eric “the purple” Can’t-nor. Through redistricting I am now in a different district (1st VA). SO the Demoncats restricted my county, one of the deepest red places you’d find anywhere, out of the 7th. I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO RE-ELECT BRAT. the county I live in went Stewart 70/30 if that tells you anything.
