Here we are at the 11th hour. We have seen a substantial amount of data from early and absentee voting, virtually all of it quite good for the Rs but none of it a knockout blow where we can absolutely call many races. Nationally, Rasmussen today had Donald Trump at 51% approval and the Republicans with a 1 point lead in the generic race.
(Thats nice, but never in my life have I voted for Mike or Suzy Generic).
One of the untold stories so far is how the fake news media ignores early and absentee voting, which has taken on a life of its own in many key states. In Florida, the state government and both parties have been pushing early voting for years. In Arizona, fully 80% of the voting public will have cast a ballot by election day! Yet the fake news media polls and polls, as if nothing has happened. Well, a great deal has happened.

Gillum may be flawed but he has the protected class teflon body armor. I wish the GOP had more time to take him apart but we will hope for the best.
Pam Bondi is waiting to be our next Attorney General to replace Jeff.
Gillum is not Obama. He doesnt have the Ivy League pedigree or the vocabulary. He is a race bating thug in the mold of Al Sharpton. The blue haired transplants from NYC wont vote for him.
I am a bit more pragmatic than LS. Historically, mid-term elections have been a tough sell for the party of a newly elected POTUS. The other side is eager to get some semblance of power back and is motivated. Thus, the advantage to begin with has been with the democrats.
Having said that, it seems to me that the Dems sure have done everything in their power to squander that advantage, if not outright eliminate it. They made the ultimate unforced error in failing to put forth an agenda and placed a Kavanaugh cherry on top. On the other side of the ledger, the President has worked his arse off to motivate our voters. Let us hope that the actual GOTV apparatus has been there to convert GOP enthusiasm to actual votes.
It would defy common sense for the Democrats to do well, they have no vision, they have no leadership except for corrupt, stale old retreads, and they seem to be content to be tagged with a pro-caravan image that they could easily have shaken off if they had chosen to do so.
I feel optimistic (as a supporter who does not live or vote in the USA) in part because I have a feeling that Trump is making inroads into their base of support at least among male voters who really may be a second wave of blue democrats following the Midwest surge of 2016.
Despite the obvious signs that stupidity is too entrenched to overcome in the cities, I look for a few upsets here and there to keep the House marginally Republican. Senate seems like a solid win.
BTTT!
I think you're onto something here... ;-)
Gillum is one of the most truly frightening leftist candidates I've seen in a long time. He's even to the left of many of the 'RATs we have here in The People's Republik of Connecticut.
God help Florida... I really hope DeSantis can win.
I don’t much care if he is “viscous” but he sure is vicious!
Live in FL...DeSantis ran a pretty soft campaign. He was cowed after getting (falsely) blasted with the race card after the “Lets not monkey this up” remark. Hoping he pulls it out, its 50-50
Gillum isn’t going to win.
I agree.
The Halfrican campaigned for Gillum....clearly sees Gillum as his successor.
Gollum makes Obama appear moderate. Seriously.
I’m so worried about Gillum I’m unable to see anything clearly. This guy is trouble, not just a leftist, but a really nasty leftist. His plans for Florida are horrible.
I pray.
True.....except all of Obama’s sub rosa activities in office have yet to be exposed.
He was good!
Thankful for your insights.
You are right!
