Multiple outlets are reporting that federal sources and bomb technicians are exploring the possibility that explosive devices sent to prominent Democrats were fakes.
While various media entities scoffed at the notion that such an elaborate mail bombing campaign could have been a hoax, other experts are indeed exploring the possibility.
New York Magazine called the skepticism “counter-intuitive” conspiracies and “mad ravings.”
If so, those ‘mad ravings’ have since extended to an Emmy winning news correspondent and such revered mainstream outlets as the New York Times.
Somehow, some way, CNN was able to, in the midst of a massive federal investigation, tweet out a picture of the bomb they received in their New York headquarters.
The image raised a ton of questions – why were they able to share this when the incident was still being investigated? Why were there no USPS markings on the envelope if it had been delivered? Were the return addresses and faux ISIS sticker a means to throw law enforcement off the trail or were they clues?
More importantly, it raised questions for bomb experts.

Why would you take a picture of a bomb and include that.

Any bomb designed not to go off regardless if it had combustible material is, by default, a fake bomb.

One of the reports I heard earlier from a ‘reputable source’ or whatever is the perp told the arrestees initially that the “bombs” were never intended to blow up or harm anyone.
Yet, It’s the allegation not the actuality that bears all the weight of persuasion, typical leftist tactic.
Let the experts go out and test a few of these things and then we shall all see for certain and not bow to untruths and misstatements of same under the guise of experience and acclaim.
They do have trigger or legitimate tripping devices, right?

It just screams fake to me but everyone on the right like the president or Hannity have to play it safe and pretend this is real. Could the FBI be part of setting up a patsy? I hope to God no. But everything is just so over board. Just look how quickly they got this guy. And the van? Come on. The guy is a walking stereotype.
Those ‘bombs’ were never meant to detonate. It will be interesting to see what they find on his computer. I’m wondering if someone else created those and just asked him to make sure there were sent. He doesn’t seem bright enough to even create a fake bomb.
If something doesn’t have a functioning detonator, it’s not a real bomb.

The clock is a 4 dollar car clock with no alarm function and no way to use it to trigger anything. The end of the wires are no doubt just taped under the clock and not connected to anything. The pipe is plastic. There are no batteries other than the small one built into the clock(most likely a watch battery. Therefore there is no adequate power source to operate a detonator. Ever see a Toy model Rocket? The “detonator” is an electric match. Both leads would come out the same end of the pipe. Is there any gun powder in there. They don’t seem to want to tell us.
This is definitely a fake bomb. It was never intended to blow up.
I think this is a desensitization play on a deep state Trump attack, blaming Trump for his own hit.
