Barely two days after Democrat Andrew Gillum was leading in most polls for governor of Florida, a Strategic Research Associates poll conducted for Gray Television and released Wednesday showed Republican and former Rep. Ron DeSantis pulling into the lead, 48 to 45 percent.
The margin of error was +/-3.46 percent. The poll is the first since the primaries last month to put the conservative DeSantis ahead of Bernie Sanders supporter Gillum.
Virtually every expert who spoke to Newsmax agreed that Gillun was damaged by recent revelations Gillun had misstated that he reimbursed a lobbyist for a ticket to the Broadway show “Hamilton.” Subsequent reports indicated when he actually received it from an FBI agent posing as a real estate developer while the Tallahassee mayor was in New York.
During a stormy debate with DeSantis last week, Gillum described himself as “hard-working” and insisted he had received the ticket from his brother. The latest stories would seem to indicate something else.
DeSantis has been a strong backer of President Trump in Congress and the President campaigned for him even before the primary. Gillun says flatly Trump should be impeached.

Gillums people threw Laura Loomer, a conservative Jewish journalist out of a synagogue! She had the right to be there, she was just waiting for his event to start but he is afraid and he is anti-semitic. Gillum doesn’t deserve to even be on the ballot.

Whoever wins the FL governorship appoints three state supreme court justices.
All you have to do is tell Trumpster that if DeSantis wins, he’ll put Pam Bondi on the Florida Supreme Court, and when Ruth Bader Ginsburg takes the dirt nap, it’s all Pammies.
You know Trump wants to have the hottest Supreme Court nominee.
He always had a lead. There are lies and statistics, but I repeat myself.

you would think someone would call out Gillum who advocates for Trump’s impeachment (for no crime) that if he bacame governor he could be impeached for bribary.
I sure hope so.

But regardless whether we read good news or bad, remember the only poll that really counts is the actual election.

I voted for DeSantis Monday, my Democrat neighbor voted for him on Tuesday, 2 of my friends voted for him on Wed., 4 other people I know are also voting for him. Trump is going to be at a rally in Ft. Myers this upcoming Wednesday to help DeSantis and Rick Scott. Local networks are not getting the word out about Gillum here and are disputing GOP ads calling it a fact check. I keep putting the truth out in every way I can. I put out a link Mark Levin made on how Gillum will destroy Florida on the debate hashtag on twitter. DeSantis is on Mark Levin radio show as I type this as of 8:23pm. I hope he wins!!!!

No, Ed, it isn’t just a couple of tickets. It’s the fact that this guy has been caught up in an ongoing investigation. He lied and lied and lied about it and then, committed the ultimate sin in many voters eyes, HE PLAYED THR RACE CARD. He said to the Florida voters, “vote for me or your racist (read deplorable).”
See Ed, you may have missed it but that ain’t playing well anymore.
Oh and neither is this guy promising to, in effect, make Florida New Jersey again.
It’s precisely because Trump is coming here to Florida to campaign for them in a few days that this whole “bomb” hoax was staged from Florida, IMO. The Dems are scared.
I predict that at midnight election day, similar to 2016, Trump will be in Michigan, this time rallying for John James.
I agree with Rollins. Tickets to Hamilton are the least of what's wrong with Gillum.
Looking at the quote, I don't think Rollins is saying that DeSantis is a goner. He's just saying that the Hamilton ticket thing won't be a big issue.
That’s exactly where he needs to be. And a few days before that too.
The James race is starting to look like the single most important contest this election. The country really needs this man in the Senate.
Excellent news. People in Florida are coming to their senses. By the way I sent DeSantis $100 last week. I would hate to see that nut Gillum win the governorship of Florida.
