Kavanaugh fiasco cost the Dems the house... Anyone telling you they have a chance of taking it after that is either lying to you, ignorant, or has their nose so far up polling numbers, that they refuse to see what’s staring them in the face....

The Dems behavior re Kavanaugh is the DUMBEST political move I have seen in my lifetime.... One thing you NEVER EVER do in US politics is ANGER THE MIDDLE!... You can get away with a lot, but if your party does that.... you are doomed.
All the Dems had to do was keep their heads down, and they were heading to handily winning the house... Instead they did something that was sure to not only engage their opponents (who were largely apathetic)... but more importantly infuriate and engage the middle...
Senate was never in play.. and the Dems took an almost guarantee win of the house and turned it into a impossibility for them.
If that is truly Trump’s doing then he shows a messaging brilliance I haven’t seen since Carville’s It’s the economy, stupid, which couldn’t actually be used as is in an ad and Reagan’s Morning in America, which could be and was used. Mobs or Jobs should be used in every contested district and state and I mean in every local election as well. BRILLIANCE!!!
Read this morning that a past President of Mexico, Vicinte Fox, came out for BETO, encouraging our citizen Latinos and those illegals who made it onto the rolls, to vote early and often.

No, there was a very very real blue wave.. though calling it a “wave” was probably an overstatement...
Up until Kavanaugh, the odds of the Dems taking the house was absolutely the most likely path.... They were showing up consistently at Presidential year turnout numbers in every special election, while the GOP was only pulling mid term levels of turnout....
Had the Dems not been so utterly stupid, they were easily going to flip more than enough purple and pink districts to take back the house... It wasn’t going to be a 2010 63 seat or 1994 50+ seat swing, but little doubt they would get the 23 or more they needed to take the house.
The senate was NEVER in play, GOP was always going to win seats, because overwhelming purple and pink districts with turnout deltas can happen, it doesn’t equate to swings at the statewide lever... So the GOP was always gaining senate seats.
Post Kavanaugh however, the GOP base is fully engaged and enraged, so that enthusiasm advantage is completely gone... and not only that, but the Dems behavior during and since Kavanaugh has been so repugnant, that it has engaged and enraged the middle.... and you can get away with a LOT in US politics... one thing you never survive is Angering the middle.
TO paraphrase Admiral Yamamoto after bombing Pearl Harbor... All the Dems behavior on Kavanaugh did was ....

That’s not GAS LIGHTING, that actual turnout... If you are going to use a term, please use it in proper context.
You can gas light with an opinion poll, you can’t with turnout numbers.
in 2016 the Pollsters were absolutely engaging in psyops and gas lighting in attempts to depress GOP turnout and create their desired outcome...
However, actual voting turn out numbers are NOT gas lighting.

I was half asleep, but from what I understand, he gave a terrible answer in the debate, turning a question on border security and answering it with his thoughts about trade.
