It’s illegal here in Pennsylvania, too. A 61 year old woman and her 36 year old son were arrested for removing Trump signs from lawns (including my signs)in 2016.
The mental health sciences are locked down by progressives, and they are all too quick to describe away this sort of behavior. This person had their faculties about them but acted like they didn’t. The problem is that there’s no fear of mental health asylum any longer.
Back in the day, if you were certifiably crazy, you were locked up. Those asylums were not sunshine and butterflies.
I worked in a psych hospital, and I can tell you that while we tried our best to entertain and work with the patients, many of them just outright did not want to be better. Those who were irreparable, such as the catatonic, are not the ones who commit acts like this. Psychosis manifests in many ways. Demon possession is popular, because anyone can claim it. Put them on a 72 hour psych hold in a deprivation room. They’ll come around real quick.
