Thankfully, under Trump's influence, the Turtle (McConnell) finally found his balls and made him an offer he could not refuse - vote for Kavanaugh or become personae non grata with the congressional GOP and say goodbye to any future as a lobbyist.
I agree. I am so sick of hearing fellow "conservatives" heap praise on worthless RINO Susan Collins because she did something decent for once.
She saw the writing on the wall that he was going to win confirmation anyway, had to get on the "winning side", and tried to justify it around her fellow liberals by saying she thinks he'll vote pro-abortion on SCOTUS and therefore she can support him. End of story. It doesn't mean she's moving to the right or is going to start voting pro-life or "realizes she can't trust the Democrats anymore" or blah blah blah.
The most bizarre thing is Eric Scheidler, the director of the Pro-Life Action League, actually heaped praise on her for going a speech saying Kavanaugh will "protect a woman's right to choose" and adding "I wouldn't vote for a candidate that I thought would do otherwise". He dismissed her pro-abortion comments as "just one of the many issues she talked about". I had to pinch myself. Scheidler is the LAST guy I'd expect to see applaud some pro-abortion RINO for giving a pro-abortion speech, and saying we should focus on "other issues" where she said the "right thing".
