A veteran California broadcast journalist has resigned after writing a 400-word Facebook post last month defending then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh from sexual assault allegations.
Kris Long had been off the air at CBS affiliate KESQ-TV in Palm Springs since the Sept. 17 post appeared, the Desert Sun reported.
On Friday he offered his resignation.
“I want to thank those who have offered support and apologize again for any I may have offended,” Long said in a written statement. “I hope to return to the news business in the future.”

Christine Blasey Ford came forward in September with an allegation that Kavanaugh tried to sexually assault her at a party in high school. They both both testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the matter last month and the FBI conducted a limited investigation.

This morning I was greeted to another sickening Facebook post showing a woman with a blood-red hand print across her mouth, captioned: “I was silenced when I was assaulted; now I’m being silenced by the US Senate”.

I read this last night. At first I too was shocked. I cant find his 400 word post but supposedly he wrote “this is just the way animals are made.” If so he deserved to be fired.
If his post on fb contained “This is how animals are made” he deserved to be fired.

Ford should serve time in FEDERAL PRISON for making FALSE allegations and committing perjury before Congress and the FBI, at a MINIMUM.

He had to apologize for supporting Brett Kavanaugh in the face of obviously unsupported allegations, I assume because it was “offensive to women.” How dare he voice such an opinion.
