Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder reacted to the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Saturday by questioning the legitimacy of the court and arguing that it needed to regain the nation's trust.
Holder -- who served as the nations top lawyer under former President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2015 -- said the treatment of former Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland by Senate Republicans, as well as Kavanaughs confirmation, meant the legitimacy of the court was in question.
With the confirmation of Kavanaugh and the process which led to it, (and the treatment of Merrick Garland), the legitimacy of the Supreme Court can justifiably be questioned, he tweeted. The Court must now prove - through its work - that it is worthy of the nations trust.
He did not say how the court would go about doing that.
The Senate voted 50-48 to confirm Kavanaugh Saturday after a rancorous confirmation fight and a week-long FBI probe to settle concerns about sexual assault allegations that threatened his nomination. It marked the tightest successful Supreme Court confirmation vote in over 100 years.

Ha! He’s about to find out just how ‘legit’ this court is, now.
Neither one could pass the LSAT in my opinion.
Holder and Obama need wheelbarrows to carry their testable around.
But they met Donald Trump and he is turning them into Eunuchs!!!!
So, I suppose dipsh*t Eric should have been the pick?
Hey Eric. STFU! You’re an idiot. Your 15 minutes are up.
They questioned the constitution but they had the courts. Now they are questioning the court. This is really rich.
That was supposed to be his seat. The harridan promised it to him
Funny; I can honestly say my trust in the SC went up considerably today.
Mr. Foxtrot Uniform, shows his tail.
He was never the president.
He was an illegal usurper.
Commentary such as this demonstrates not just near-fatal partisanship but ignorance of the structures, history and traditions of the judiciary. This is an attack on all 3 branches of government targeting the public to mistrust its government. This is sedition.
Bump!
Whiny teenage protesters, who apparently have no knowledge of the Constitution that gives them the right to (peacefully) protest, will hear this, and believe it’s a good idea. Next week, we’ll probably start hearing “Shut down the Supreme Court!” being screeched all over the news.
This crap won’t end.
Indict him for Fast & Furious.

I love it when Democrats whine about legitimacy. When they lose.
Funny how he forgets it’s the Democrats’ discarding of the presumption of innocence that means the Democrats have a lot of work to do to convince us they are even fellow citizens.
LMAO. What a comedian.
