Mark Levin Okay, ill say it... 9 MINUTES AGO · PUBLIC Lets stop pretending Susan Collins is a hero and her speech was Churchillian. Many of us were pleasantly surprised Collins did the right thing. Her speech painted Bret Kavanaugh as a bit of an activist. Lets hope shes wrong about that. But she came to the same conclusion as all Senate Republicans but Murkowski, i.e., Kavanaugh was the victim of a horrendous smear campaign. A sigh of relief shes voting for his confirmation, yes. A hero, no.
Kavanaugh will seek to do the same. Both look at the wealth of work done to get the law passed, then try to save it for them.
The hour she took between 3:00 and 4:00 pm yesterday was prime news time and that along with discussion afterward gave Democrats almost no time to mount a successful counter before the 6pm news hours.
I believe that was McConnell (transformed) turtles plan. Please send he and Grassley more of whatever they have been fed the last week. Graham too.

It takes courage for a Rep from a blue state to vote for Kavanaugh, especially given the pressure Collins was under from the local media in MA. Collins was a prime target by the Left. Levin is off base.
Rock bottom.
We are not use to seeing Republicans fighting back against personal attacks. It may not have been epic but it was certainly refreshing and hopefully Republicans will stop reaching across the aisle. If we pick up 5-6 seats we won’t have to.
She did her job, no more, no less imo. That’s what all those Senators are supposed to do. The founders never envisioned that Supreme Court nominations would become bloodsport.
“When we have sunk so low as to celebrate Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins for doing their jobs, we have sunk pretty damn low!”
These two are democrats, not GOP anti trump swamp dwellers They run as republicans but are democrats. They are way more cunning than regular GOP trump haters. Quicker. They see the writing on the wall. They will run in their states as republicans next time. - they are getting on the Trump train
Since Trump started running I have wondered G how these people would act when the realize Trump will win at everything he sets out to do
This is how they act
They are the sleazy sibling who takes all the credit for fixing the problem they caused the family
They are nauseating. Nothing more
FWIW, I think Collins read that FBI report and didn’t want to be seen by aiding and abetting a conspiracy so she’ll vote to confirm.
If true, so much for principle.
I agree with Mark
Collins did the right thing.....Kudos
Im glad she did the right thing
She will be harassed, mistreated, embarrassed, vilified by the loons on the left
But she did the right thing
Brett Kavanaugh did the right thing by defending himself
He is being flayed alive for doing so
According to Rand Pauls wife, so are they......for doing the right thing
Steve Scalise can tell you a few things about how it feels to do the right thing....
So can Clarence Thomas and Robert Bork
.....and Dietrich Bonhoeffer and all the other magnificent shoulders we are fortunate to stand on.
Collins....hero?
Steve was shot, Bork was Borked, Thomas was high tech lynched.....nd Bonhoeffer was hanged
Collins might face name calling, phone calls, loss of former friends ( like many of us who support President Trump)
But hero?......
I thank her for her intestinal fortitude and spirit.
“Hero” probably isn’t the word we’re looking for. But she did a good thing and we’re grateful for it. In the future she will probably aggravate us as she’s done in the past. In short, we love her tonight but won’t respect her in the morning.
Murcowski got her Soros Check.
While I listened, I was having Comey/Hillary exoneration flashbacks. It was clear from the outset that she was thinking fairly clearly and would give Kav the thumbs-up, but I kept expecting the shoe to drop: 'Despite my mostly-positive impressions, I can't support this candidate at this time...'
Let's hope she didn't change her mind overnight...
I completely concur with this post.
I will also add that our FReeper brothers and sisters who are blessed to live in Red States may not realize just how difficult it is to execute even basic conservative policy when you live in a deep Blue State.
To me, she’s like a bystander who watched while a bunch of thugs pummeled a helpless little kid to a bloody pulp, finally and reluctantly agreeing that one of the other bystanders ought to call the police. I don’t think any of us can expect her ever to do the right thing out of respect for what is right. It’s not who I want representing me.
So here we are today, before the final vote is even taken, fussing between ourselves over a semantic point.
Coordinated by mcconnell
He’s right.
Doing what's obviously right makes you a hero - not!
Levin can’t be trusted after his never Trumper campaign during the election.
Also, nobody on the conservative side called her a hero. They just said it was a great speech outlining why the case against Kavanaugh was unjust.
