WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWS CENTER Maine) Senator Susan Collins told reporters Friday that she would vote yes to move the final confirmation vote to the Senate floor Saturday. Collins will announce how she plans to vote on embattled U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during a 3 p.m. Senate floor Speech.
If she caves murchin does not want to be that 50th vote so he’ll vote on!
Actually Ernst and Fischer also voted yes for Kavanaugh.
“Why would she hold a presser to vote yes ?
Bad feeling about this.”
Nail in the coffin for the establishment.
If she votes no, Manchin votes no and we lose. I don’t think Manchin would be the 50th vote. Unless he plans to switch parties.
I think Flake just wanted the attention.
He has to know that if he’s the vote that sinks Kavanaugh, his life will turn into a living hell.
Uh, Joni Ernst? Deb Fischer? Cindy Hyde-Smith? Shelley Moore Capito?
Won’t watch or Listen...can’t stand the sound of HER VOICE!!!
So its 51-49 now. If she changes to a no vote its 50-50, she or other dems must be trying to get one more dem to change their vote. Pray yes!
Won’t hurt to offer her a steep discount on Facelifts.
Not that she’s looking for one, of course.
I stand corrected.
Out on a limb: If he doesnt get in, hell be re-nominated, and the midterms will be all about BK. Red Wave incoming.
Remember that all Federal contracts are subject to availability of appropriated funds and can be terminated at any time for the convenience of the government.
Imagine if Kavanaugh’s fate rests with the likes of Flake. The only solace is if the Democratic smear actually succeeds, they will be badly punished in November. Murkowski, Collins, and Flake will not be able to give cogent reasons for voting against him and will be stained forever. They will never be trusted or respected by any decent person.
Manchin will vote however Collins does. If Collins is a yes, Manchin will not be the swing vote and his Dem colleagues will understand him voting yes to save his seat.
If he is the deciding vote, Manchin will follow the party line.
Yes but Flake is the one I see changing.
already will be for his part in this whole extended circus, it will catch up with him soon enough.
Wrathful at her for finally intending to do what makes sense?
Don’t fall into this trap. Give God some credit here. If the proceedings had to drag out this long, there was a reason. He knew a body politic with women in it was going to be harder to manage. It takes longer for their feelings to subside.
She reminds me of a bobble head doll
But Murkowski will take some of the heat off of him, if he does vote yes.
