As long as the GOP had 50, he was always going to join them.

The key was the GOP needed to have 50.. as long as 50.. Manchin was going to come over, and i expect a few more will as well.

Wonder if Manchin (and perhaps Murkowski) is trying to play both sides - Yes on cloture, No on the Saturday up/down?
