Manchin will vote yes. How in the hell would he explain it otherwise? So that leaves us with the two senators who yesterday stated that they believe that the FBI investigation was thorough and did not uncover corroborating evidence.

No, not quite..

Manchin, will join the Republicans as long as they have 50.. If they fall below 50, I would not expect him to be the one to put Kavanaugh over the top....

When it comes to the actual confirmation vote, Expect Manchin to hold his vote until all republicans have voted.... if they don’t have 50 without him, he will accept his career as an elected individual is over and take the D bribe and probably vote no...

I would be very very surprised if Manchin betrays the party if the R’s don’t have this without him... Because even if he would be re-elected he would be completely done in DC.

I despise Murkowski. And Collins. And Flake. And Manchin. The Democrats always stick together regardless. The GOP has no such principle. Knowing West Virginia as I do, Manchin will commit political suicide if he votes no, so there’s that.

There is still a silver lining if Kavanaugh doesn’t make it. I hope Trump throws down the gauntlet and nominates a more obvious hardcore right-winger for the court. His team needs to start looking into the backgrounds of all of his other people on the list. Start digging deep now. Don’t let up an inch.

SARAH PALIN FOR SENATE!

Sarah said last week they are moving South. Likely Arizona but no solid commitment.

For what it’s worth PredictIt markets have Kavanaugh odds of being confirmed at 82/18 yes.

“So does a yes cloture vote imply a yes confirmation vote?”

no. Collins is acting like she could still flake-out on the final vote for confirmation on Saturday ... we won’t know about Collins until 3 pm EST when Collins has a big announcement to make then ... personally i think flake will hold ... don’t know about Manchin ... we could lose any one of those three and Pence could still break the tie ... lose two and the Pub party loses its Brett Bounce this November ...

Thanks to all the dumb Alaskans who wrote her in ages ago, vs. Joe Miller.

I think most of those Alaskans were democrats who preferred Murkowski to the Republican Miller. The 'rat candidate was a distant third place in the race; so the 'rats rallied around Murkowski. Murkowski is essentially a 'rat.

Manchin will only vote yes if the republicans already have 50+ votes. No way will be a a true swing/deciding vote. All down to Flake and Collins. If they vote yes, then Manchin probably votes yes and possibly Murkowski.

Cowski must be primaried out.

Didn't work last time. She was primaried out, and somehow won as a write-in, IIRC.

She was already a traitor to the American people the way she ran against Palin. To think she calls herself a conservative. She uses her seat to get rich and that is it. I am surmising no one had anything good for her so she voted no. She despises women so that was not the issue. She hates Trump, that is the issue.

Well, if they do vote him down, which I don’t expect to happen, but if they do... Trump should just announce he will resubmit kavanaugh again in January after the new Senate is seated.

Let the midterm election be a referendum on Kavanaugh.

R’s are going to gain 6+ easily, and Flake will be gone.
