Fight Together or Fall Apart

The nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is a watershed moment for the republic. This is the moment we decide who we are and who we will allow ourselves to be.

More than 200 years ago the Founders set out in our Constitution a set of rules for the United States of America. For years, these rules were inviolable. They constitute the framework upon which Americans have built the most successful nation, and the only viable democratic republic to have ever existed.

America is a dream derived from the best ideas proffered by the best of humanity. It is a nation founded on equality of opportunity and the presumption of innocence. It is a place where any opinion is no less valuable than that of the richest, most powerful among us. And even more important everyone has every bit as much right to voice his opinion. To say otherwise is to be either ignorant of the beauty of this nation, its founding, and its constitution, or situationally opportunistic.

Situational ethics? Where have we seen that before? The Democrats behave as if only they have the right to define what is “right.” And in the course of that conceit, they have decided they are always right, and we the people, are always wrong -- that is, unless we agree with them. And agree that it is only “they” who decide what is “right.”

Sadly, everything is tribal now. So if you don’t want to get scalped, vote republican 11/6. As someone said on another thread, if every Trump voter supports their republican incumbent, no blue wave.

Nice platitudes, but we are so far removed from what the founding fathers envisioned for America, they would be taking up arms and trying to overthrow the govt, if they were alive today.

It’s really, really simple: Confirm Kavanaugh by the end of this week, and win big in November. Fail to get him confirmed, and you lose both the House & Senate.

The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution and established the nation assuming that most of the voting population and public servants
would be honest, ethical, civil, reverent, responsible adults.

Not like many democrats of today: dishonest, uncivil, irresponsible, irreverent, over-aged childish brats who want to turn America
into just another 3d world socialist craphole.

Yes, but the ideas the Founders actually accepted & adopted in the foundational documents, were adopted based on their generations of experience in building viable functional communities from the ground up. [America: Based On Experience & Reason]

Further, on the subject of the arrogant fanaticism of the Left in the Kavanaugh smear:

What precisely are they seeking, which motivates them to smear Judge Kavanaugh? What is the object of their reprehensible tactics?

Surely the end is even more reprehensible than the loathsome methodology. It is to prevent having a Supreme Court that will actually enforce the Constitutional intent; and by that vehicle, to retain the intention of the Founders, to pass on the Liberty won in the Revolution to succeeding generations.

The loathsome tactics, then, are to allow intellectually corrupted theorists on the Left, to deny Americans their birthright. Loathsome tactics to an even more loathsome purpose.
