Bottom line is that we really don’t know what McConnel and the president et al are doing.
I think it can be argued that when the matter continues to fester people are really getting pissed at the democrats. By making them pissed and then more pissed and then really pissed, they will go vote.
To keep the house and grow the Senate folks must get out and vote. the people must be motivated to go vote.
I think the democrats will not have the inertia to get out the vote. They have no rallies drawing tens of thousands,
