The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination on Friday after Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) secured a deal to delay a floor vote on the nomination for a week.

Sounds like Flake is going to be a no at confirmation.
Except Flake does not control the Senate.
It isn’t up to him to delay the Vote in the full Senate.
Can McConnell ignore this?

if there are enough votes without flake (and he didn’t say he would vote NO..just said he’d be more comfortable with an investigation) repubs can still call the vote & tell the dems to frick off.
fbi investigation doesn’t impact the vote since all 11 voted to move this to the floor.
dems didn’t get what they theought they were getting.

There was no secure deal? He just said that was his requirement for a yes vote. He also stated that it could be shorter than a week if the FBI wraps it up sooner.
He secured nothing. He said he is a No unless they do the investigation.
What is the “Deal”? It is a request to McConnell maybe, but the committee has no control over the senate as a whole. Flake flaked and participated in a scam of congress.
I think the Dems just had a trick played on them. Republicans may not need Flake’s vote on the floor.
Flake is a lame ass duck. Tell him anything he wants to hear, then ignore it.
One more week. We got through this one. We just need to keep the pressure on.
What part of the fbi twice turning down investigating a non provable event from 36 years ago does flake not understand?
With this much of a circus and destruction of our government the Dems are doing my suspicion grows that Scalia was assassinated.
Next Friday before any vote happens, 100 more accusations and lying witnesses.

Mitch can call the vote any time now.
The FBI has already investigated Kavanaugh six times.
I think this is fake. I think the vote was held before Grassley responded to Flake.
