Sorry for the all-caps shouting above. I actually thought Flake had completely stopped the vote out of Committee to Senate floor.
It passed the floor, but it sounds like there will be further investigation, not to last more than one week and with limited scope, before the final vote in the Senate.
The committee is just a formality. They don’t need it. Justice Thomas, for one, was confirmed without it.

Flake can say he’s going to vote “No” unless there’s a one week delay.
All that means is that if they don’t have the votes without Flake, they delay the vote. If they DO have the votes without Flake, they hold the vote and he can go to hell.
DiFi doesn’t even know if the vote is done!!
It passed the floor - on to the full Senate, but Flake is reluctant to vote yes on final with ANOTHER FBI check.
Of course they got to Flake.. Now he won’t vote yes unless the FBI gets a week.

So if the GOP all vote yes, which means that bitch Collins has to get off the fence, Pence is the tie breaker and Jeff Flake ends his poltical career with one of the stupidest poltical moves in history.

Dems and Flake saved face, by asking for the Senate as a whole to delay a vote for another week. My understanding is that it is up to the entire Senate to determine is there should be a delay.
The next step is tomorrow. Understanding that the Dems will scream, shout, drag their feet, and protest. Anything to delay a confirmation vote.
It’s up to Mitch and Schumer to delay or not tho.
