The father of a missing 6-year-old boy with autism says his son ran away from him in a park last Saturday in North Carolina and he couldn't catch him. The FBI and over 300 officers are searching the more than 240-acre park, including a lake.

"It didn't look as though, they were that concerned," Foxx said of the boy's father and his girlfriend, who was with him at the park. "I've worked there almost three years and we see everybody come in and out of that park pretty much. I didn't see that kid one time."

Not sure. I’m having SSSSLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW Connection trouble so can’t load Ch 9 website right now.
Thank You Sodpoodle !
I didn’t find the father to be very credible. If he did something terrible, he’ll be found out before too long.
When I first saw this story this morning, my first thought was "the father did it."
And then I felt a bit ashamed for leaping to such a conclusion, but it is something I would certainly be thinking about if I were involved in this search.
He has the same demeanor as Christopher Watts (Colorado man who killed his wife and 2 little girls - dumped their bodies in oil drums). Pure Evil.
his body was just found
And generally, from what I've seen, they aren't. Most kids I've ever seen whoa re special needs are also not very co-ordinated or have much stamina.
There was recently a case here in TN where a young autistic boy disappeared, supposedly sneaking out in the middle of the night. Turned out that Daddy killed him, Momma knew it, and both are in prison. They have never found that poor child’s body.
I’ve had a feeling from the start that this is going to be a repeat and that feeling hasn’t diminished one iota. It would be wonderful to be wrong.
Even if the father was telling the truth, he sure seemed curiously unperturbed about his autistic son running ahead of him.
The father was projecting today when he said something to the effect of “I know the police think I’m their number one suspect”.

I’m getting a “404 page not found” message when I click the link. :-(
It could be less than a mile from the park, depending on where along the road he was found. So sad.
Body found 4 miles from the park.
The dad’s dumb story is falling apart.
Another story says 4 miles from the park.
Sad story.
Poor kid.
Just scrolling and saw this————I didn’t know they found the poor little guy.
.
I’m having terrible computer problems - just do a search for ‘parents found guilty of murdering autistic child’. There are dozens of cases - it’s terrifying.
A city searched for an autistic boy for days. Then, police say, his dad confessed to killing him.
