Same in my family. Some things were crazy, as well, my sisters had earlier curfews than my brother and I at the same ages.

I don’t know how old you are but I grew up at a time when most kids had two parents in the home. Dad worked and Mom was a stay-at-home mom. Mom handled the minor offences and referred the bad stuff to Dad. Our biggest dread was hearing the words “just wait until your Dad gets home”. Mom was the caretaker and Dad was the enforcer. Having to wait all day for Dad to get home was more torturous than the actual punishment.

It used to drive my daughter up the wall, that I imposed tighter restrictions on her, than I did on her brothers. All I could do was hug her and say, "Honey, life isn't always fair or equal. You're a girl, and that's just the way it is."
